My world, the perfect paradox of simple and complex, is full of characters that are fictionally real.
I'm a hot-tempered, intense, passionate person, and yes, I have a very strong sense of self. I live with my grandmother, by far the most entertaining sixty-six-year-old woman that I have ever known of, with a fiery temper and severe road rage. I live about a block away from my mom, a teacher at a beauty school with a genius IQ and a New Age hippie (I was named after a Grateful Dead song), my sister Ryan, who can be described as nothing less than the most frivolous form of trouble that ever was, and my sister Morgan, who quite frankly reminds my of a trippier version of Little Miss Sunshine. My dad lives in Kentucky with his girlfriend. He plays golf. I'm kind of aquantences with everyone at school, save for my friend Sarah, who, like me is a liberal animal rights activist and general outcast. My best friend is a force of nature entitled Rebecca Curtis, and she is by far the only person that I can really talk to about anything and everything that I have to get out. She is one of the strongest, kindest, and most amazing people that I have ever encountered and has been through things most couldn't even fathom. Then there's Joe. He makes my heart stop, my palms sweat, my world to converge on itself around him, you know, the usual. It's kind of pathetic, but he barely acknowledges my existence, and he makes me euphoric/miserable. The complete opposite from me in just about every way, shape, and form, he plays sports, is totally preppy, and only dates girls that are almost too stupid to function. But I pretty much adore him.
About the stuff I like.
About music: It's what my heart beats to, what my world turns around to, what permiates the air whenever anything important happens. What kind of music do I like, you ask?
I like punk, emo, screamo, new wave, metal, indie, alternative, industrial, goth, ska, reggae, rap, pop-punk, powerpop, trance, house, folk, R&B, clasical, basically everything but bands like Nickelback and country. I sing and am learning to play piano. I want to to sing like Sarah McLachlan. I'm obsessed with David Bowie. My Chemical Romance is one of my absolute favorites. Music is basically one of the most expressive, fascinating forms of art that there is.
I'm obsessed with movies. Especially Tim Burton movies.
I love art. I paint, draw, craft, make collages, and love make-up. Salvador Dolly is my favorite artist.
I'm obsessed withy vampires, but I hate the Twilight series. It's sexist, poorly written, and unrealistic, amongst other things.
I read constantly. I read literally ALL THE TIME.
I obviously love to write, but can't finish a story. I don't have ebough 'life experience,' I think.
My sense of humor tends to be very tongue-in-cheek, dark, and sarcastic.
I went through a horrible depression almost two years ago, but I'm grateful for it because, ironically enough it made very optimistic, a quality that I had never posessed. You know what they say what doesn't kill us makes us who we are.
I love to ride my bike. His name is Henry, after King Henry VIII of England.
Those are all of the most important things in my life.
Random stuff I like: popsicles, band-aids, hoodies, dinosaurs,, penguins, robots, Burt's Bees, pomegranites, Shakespeare, bats, Audrey Hepburn, chocolate, candy, dandelions (the kind you blow on and make wishes), trees, metaphysical stores, tarot readings, long conversations, those nights where you see someone you haven't seen in forever and you stay out on the porch forever and ever and you don't want it to ever end...
