"I get sick of listening to straight people complain about, "Well, hey, we don't have a heterosexual-pride day, why do you need a gay-pride day?" I remember when I was a kid I'd always ask my mom: "Why don't we have a Kid's Day? We have a Mother's Day and a Father's Day, but why don't we have a Kid's Day?" My mom would always say, "Every day is Kid's Day." To all those heterosexuals that bitch about gay pride, I say the same thing: Every day is heterosexual-pride day! Can't you people enjoy your banquet and not piss on those of us enjoying our crumbs over here in the corner?" - Rob Nash
[Thank you rob...you just said it all....]

"Live like today's your last, love like you've never been hurt, cause life's to short and love to rare." Lauren Truett

"We are born alone and we die alone, what's inbetween is mine." Otep Shamaya. (Yes I listen to Otep...)

"Haters call me bitch call me faggot call me whinny, but I am something you can never be" --Marilyn Manson...(yes I listen to him too)

"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing."

Shakespeare bitches...hehehe

♦♥About Me♥♦
My name is Lauren Truett...well I'm 15...my age on here is not correct it is only set like that so that I can view all poems/stories....I'm a student at my local high school I'm going into 10th grade after summer....I write poetry because it helps me poetry is my release...the same with stories, daydreaming on paper 9 times out of 10...I am a very open minded person...I'm wiccan see [R.e.l.i.g.i.o.n.] for more info on that...and I'm bi and I have not problem with it....I really don't know what to put here...so this is all for now....

♦♥Religion♥♦

I am wiccan...no we are NOT satan worshippers for those of you that are totally clueless...we are nature worshippers in the simpliest terms...I'm not going to try and convert you and I ask that you do the same for me...I am happy as I am believing what I believe...if this is a problem for you I'm sorry...but the more you try to shove religion down someone's throat the less likly they are to follow...plane ans simple you can't force some one to believe.

♦♥My Style♥♦

My style is just that my style there is no other way to describe it....I love to write...I hate it when I get stuck on something, but it's always fun for me....I write all the time, but I never finish anything cause i write things in my head and forget it later...that causes a problem....

Homophobia Is Wrong:

There was a big list of things to try and make you sympathize and believe homophobia is a terrible thing and is completely wrong. However I don't need to post the list for everyone to be aware that anyone homophobic should be disgusted with themselves. If two people love each other. Let them be. End of story. Okay?

*Repost this if you believe homophobia is wrong.*

I agree with this 100% I believe that if two people can find happiness then what does something like gender matter....

I am the mother who almost lost custody of her son, because I am in love with another woman. But guess what, I stood up and won!

I am the father who punished his son for calling you a fag.

I am the guy who came out to the entire school in his senior speech and got a standing ovation for his courage.

I am the girl who kisses her girlfriend on the sidewalk and laughs at those who glare.

We are the couple who planned and studied and got a damn good lawyer and BEAT the state that wanted to take our child away.

We are the ones who took martial arts classes and carry pepper spray and are just too dangerous to gay bash.

I am the trans gendered person who uses the bathroom that suits me, and demands that any complaining staff explain their complaint to my face in front of the entire restaurant -- and shares with my other trans friends which restaurants /don't/ raise a stink.

I am the mother who told her lesbian daughter to invite her girlfriend over for dinner.

I am the father who punished his son for calling you a fag.

I am the preacher who told my congregation that love, not hate, is the definition of a true follower of God.

I am making a difference. Hate will NOT win.

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.

I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.

I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.

We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.

I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.

I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.

I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.

I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.

We are the couple who had the Realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.

I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.

I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.

I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.

I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.

I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.

I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I didn't have to always deal with society hating me.

I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.

I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.

I am the daughter who cries herself to sleep because my parents think I am a freak for being what I am...

I am the boy that Dares to be myself and not worry what others think. I am also the boy that probably won't make it past 25.

Repost this if you believe homophobia is wrong, and feel free to add your own line in my author comments, and if you want me to I will put it in here.

HOMOPHOBIA IS WRONG!!!!

80% of the teenage population would stop breathing if all of a sudden, American Eagle deemed it uncool. If you'd be in the 20% of the population that'd be laughing their butts off, repost this.

92% of teens have moved onto rap. If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music then put this on your AP page.

"92% of teens today would die if Abercrombie & Fitch said it wasn't cool to breathe anymore. If you're part of the 8% that would be laughing their butts off, put this in your profile."
