Hmm...my story? a bit of it...
Well, I've always been more of an artsy person. Even before I could read, I would always immerse myself in a book, if only to look at the pictures. Guess that's how I first developed my aesthetic sense too.
I love the person who invented the pencil. My two passions are drawing and writing in equal measure. When I'm in that zone, I let myself go, putting down anything that my imagination runs away with onto paper. Lately, I've had some trouble getting in that zone, but that's okay. Every artist and writer needs a break to explore and learn about this world and themselves and life. Or just a break.
Current all-time favourite author: Jodi Picoult
I like most genres, especially fantasy/adventure and real-life/crime&action (though those are rather contrasing). I'm not actually much for the classics but I do enjoy a few like 'To Kill A Mockingbird' and others. I loved Anne Fine's stuff, Rudyard Kipling's 'A Jungle Book" and all the Ladybird classics (fairytales) when I was little, haha.
What else?
I like:
* Singing - only in front of my friends and brothers or in the shower (I have stage fright).
* Swimming - it's relaxing losing yourself in the smooth laps through the water & it's one of the few sports I'm good at.
* Animals - I'm good with anything except cockroaches, which, though irrational, scare the living shit out of me.
* Baking - my own experiments; if it's good, it's good, otherwise I still force everyone to try it.
* Tourist-free beaches - they're peaceful, you can relax, think, be.
* Meringue & milkshakes - can't get enough
* Rain - it's calming; feels like all the bad stuff's being washed away & everything's fresh; the smell
* Thunderstorms - call me crazy, I find it kind of romantic
* Exploring - my curiosity always gets the better of me
* Arguing
- it comes naturally
* Collecting bumper stickers - i just do
* London Dairy's Double Chocolate Chip Ice-cream - great sugar rush, which is why I'm rarely allowed any
* Reading the Archie Comics & collecting them
* Watching 'So you think you can dance' & the CSIs, though I have plenty more favourite shows.
* Forensic Science (like on the CSIs
) - seems intriguing
* Talking, especially with my friends - when i know someone well, i seem to never run out of things to say.
* Just walking, or sitting by an empty pool - when I'm pissed off and need to clear my head.
I definitely want to:
~ bunjee-jump
~ sky-dive
~ try most water-sports
~ see a real autumn, crunch through the leaves
~ touch real snow
~ ride an elephant
~ swim with dolphins
~ have a pet monkey (this has a 0.0001% chance of happening)
~ learn sign language, arabic, mandarin, sinhala.
~ travel to as many countries as possible
~ visit the Louvre
~ get a front-row ticket to 'So you think you can dance'
And more but I can't remember them all
My favourite quotes
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain."
"You've got enemies? Good, that means you actually stood up for something in your life." - Eminem
"Always forgive your enemies. Nothing annoys them more"
"Keep smiling. It makes people wonder what you're up to."
"Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
"I'm the one who has to die when it's time for me to die. So let me live my life the way I want to."
"When life gives you lemons, make orange juice and keep people wondering how the hell you did it."
"I'm not quiet...I'm plotting."
"I'm not lost...I'm exploring."
"If guns kill people, can I blame mispelled words on my pencil?"
"Don't take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway."
"The hardest thing in life is to know which bridge to cross and which to burn."
And more but there are so many

By the way, I hope you'll read something of mine, if you've visited my profile. So, if you choose to, I'd recommend my list: The Warning Colour ( originally titled Being Red) or Chronic Death. Best I've got so far.
