    How long has mankind walked this earth? No one truly knows the answer to that question.
    Is there a life after death? Again no one can truly know the answer to that question.
    But since man has marked towards out modern civilisation most have hoped that a life after death does actually exist.
    Great and powerful rulers have build large and impresive structures in the hope that they will aid them to achieve the afterlife. Religions have been invented in order to offer help in reaching the elusive afterlife. More religions and vast and complex studies have been made to try and prove that this elusive afterlife does in fact exist.
    But still mankind dreams of it and hopes he is right. He appears to believe that this so called afterlife or heaven justifies our existance here on earth. Most of us have our theories and hopes But why should man's existance on this earth be any more important than that of any other creature, or tree or matter.
    Once our life here on earth is finished and our body has decayed, our purpose is complete. So why do we humans believe that we are so important the we are the exception to all the rules? Because nothing lives for ever!

    Yes there is an afterlife. it is called death by us,   but it is  really just  continuance,
    how selfish of  us to want  the  place where our descendents  might walk and  have a chance of knowing what life is.  It is through them that you might live on. Be satisfied with the order set out for life in all its forms.

    and this has sweet FA to do with  God, life if more and any god  could ever handle

    That is why I struggle with the concept that animals don't have souls. It seems arrogant to assume only mankind has that right. One might argue that animals act on instinct rather than conscience, or free will, yet some animals, such as dogs, dolphins and horses can show loyalty an altruism, so what give us the right to decide.

      Some animals show a stronger sense of loyalty than we humans. They will sleect one mate and even if their mate dies, they will never take another.
      whether mankind likes it or not, we are really just another animal species.

        True....and a worse acting one in many ways. Few animals kill for pleasure. A cat may toy around with its prey for a while, but when it comes down to the most evil and sick acts, it will be a human everytime.

          I think animals are more highly evolved than humans. Apparently we used to talk to the animals in the garden but after the fall we started talking huge amounts of shit and the animals had a huge protest with the Lord and said "Oi father can you shut these humans off? We can't handle their tripe." And that's why we cant talk to animals and they cant talk to us.

            It all starts with a thought Hoo, even if reproduction or having a baby wasnt desired.  Its funny I visit the neighborhood basketball court. Theres always some lil youngster who think an old school like me aint still got it..Then I always have to remind them I was schooling people on these courts before they was an itch in their daddy's pants..lol..

                        I suspect this was DW making a special effort to not appear like a Nutty Jesus Freak, and he was doing okay at keeping Jesus out of his discourse, so we must reward him for that, so that he will keep Jesus out of his narrative more, in the future.

                        Keeping this in mind mate- I think it was inappropriate of you to be so mean to him here in this topic.

                  But what thought started it all because soon after it all began, well millions of years actually as the Earth had to be formed and them cooled to a point where life could develope. Remember that soon after it all started, it may well have been millions or billions of years, the earth was still just molten lavitic rock with a thin delicate crust of fragile rock. At what point did this thought occure and where did this thought come from.
                  Remember, out earth has required many billions of years to develope to a point where any form of life could be sustained on this planet. and even after that it took millions of years for man to evolve.
                  How many billions of humans have existed and the same question can be asked about the animals. If all these, those who have existed, do exist and will exist were created by a thought, then why do we need sexual organs. why are they born as helpless babies? Why don't they suddenly just appear as fully developed adults?
                  Sorry, but you thought idea just doesn't make sense.

                                            All B.S aside Hoo, It was dumb to take a simple statement and twist it in to some bronze Age watever..It was actually a joke, but since you dug so deep to look foolish I'll keep helping you. The thought of placing bombs under ground to cause a possible tsunami reaction is really not that bad an idea for the war people. In fact it would be rather brilliant and far from ignorance. Being able to do damage to the enemy, and blame it on something natural. The hoodlums I know would call that a clean get away. So what did you think about that tsunami that hit japan? Didnt it destroy or hinder a nuclear power plant? Some might say what a tragic, and so it is. Others might be thinking good job, and maybe it was?

                                              One of the problems with the written word is that it is hard to tell if something is a joke or not. In the past you have said some rather stupid comments, so I treated that comment in the same vein.
                                              I hope you are not implying that the damage caused to the nuclear plant was a good thing. Because how many people, innocent young and old people have been damaged of killed by the radioactivity that was released?

      I think its okay to say life begins with a thought, after all, if you believe in God, he must have suddenly 'thought' I'll create life etc. I've noticed you giving more of your personal opinion on here and I think that's good. Whether we all agree or not, and no-one agrees with everything everyone says, that's okay, that's how discussion is born.

    No on can prove there is or isn't an afterlife.  It is a personal belief either way.  Me, personally, I believe that there is.  I have never thought it was just for us (humans).  I believe animals have an afterlife as well.  I do not know what it will be like, I just believe it will be.  I don't believe we just exist for this time and place.  There is more.

      I think we are just a small part of the evolution of our little planet called Earth. If animals have an afterlife, where on earth are that all going to fit? Thousands of species of dinasaurs and there must be millions of then clomping and chomping round in an afterlife. It would be rather impossible for all of the dead animals to exist in an afterlife as so many of them could only have existed in the specific atmosphere that existed at their time, could they exist in the same atmosphere that we humans do? I doubt it very much.

    Wot I think the stink of the ink is  -- Is tht we just go back to where we come from -- de dissolve back into the whole thing so -- I guess our after life adds up to -- many tings  -- like compost -- fertiliser -- etc  ... I guess we breath dead life -- of all kinds

    If there is, it will be a natural or artificial artifact, a consequence of the physics (and perhaps a direct consequence of the mathematics) that may apply or may be possible in this universe...

    yes there is life after death,
    Once a person dies, their soul is taken by the angels. Their bodies are put in a grave, where angels come and ask them questions such as who is your Lord, who is His prophet, etc

    After that , on the day of Judgment, each person will answer for their deeds, whether good or bad. Eventually, those with enough good deeds, or those that are blessed with the mercy of God, will be placed in heaven.
