a.w. tozer has said concerning god and his angels, "i am a bible christian and if an archangel with a wingspread as broad as a constellation, shining like the sun, were to come and offer me some new truth, i'd ask him for a reference.  if he could not show me where it is found in the bible, i'd bow him out and say, 'i'm awfully sorry.  you don't bring any references with you.'"

there are many occult, new age prompters and mediums who teach, usually for money, or the purchase of their book or cd, "summoning your angels, spirit guides, or midwayers."  this is not biblical.  in fact, if you do so, you will be connecting and conjuring up satan's demons, not god's holy messemgers.  one such promoter is doreen virtue.

doreen virtue and eldest son charles virtue are authors of the book, “signs from above; your angel's messages about your life purpose, relationships, health, and more.” they write, “angels and departed loved one's frequently send signs, including birds, butterflies, and flowers; a unique scent that we associate with the individual who passed on, a favorite perfume, for instance, or cigerette smoke, if the person was a smoker; and even flickering television signals or house hold lights.”


then there is doreen virtue's book, “angel numbers 101; the meaning of 111, 123, 444, and other number sequences.” on the back cover of the book virtue contends, “one of the most common ways in which angels speak to you is by showing you repetitive number sequences.”   according to the word of god, doreen virtue is promoting a false-blasphemous gospel!

beware of such occult messages that can serve to intice you to follow other worldy, false words filled with deception.  doreen virtue, and those like her, are making money off of your desire to be mislead.   god has sent you this word of warning for a reason.  god loves you - john 3:16-17.  god desires that you read his word, the holy bible.  and not doreen virtue's (and like new age and occult promoters) false words filled with deception.


the true facts about god's angelic kingdom

god's everlasting kingdom includes his creation of angelic beings (psalm 148:2,5; colossians 1:16; revelation 4:11).  there is divine order in god's kingdom, with god in control of his holy order (matthew 6:9-10; 2nd peter 1:11; hebrews 12:28).  the hebrew word for angel is "malak" and means "an agent, a messenger."  the greek word for angel is "angelos" whose meaning is also "messenger."  

the bible tells us of the order of angels.  there are archangels, principalities, powers, seraphim, cherubim, the angel of the lord, and myriads of angels.  jesus could have asked our heavenly father to send by his command, legions of angels, and even he did not do so (matthew 26:53).   however, angels were often "sent by god" to minister unto jesus, his son (mark 8:38; 13:32; matthew 13:41; 2nd thessalonians 1:7; john 1:51; hebrews 12:22).


angels were created by god with personality and freewill


god created his angels as immortal spiritual beings (luke 20:34; 1st timothy 6:16).  they have personality (matthew 18:10; psalm 103:20-21; revelation 4:8), and freewill (isaiah 14:12-14; 2nd peter 2:4; jude 6,9).  angels are ministering spirits devoted to the worship and ministry of god.  they work for god, to protect the children of god (hebrews 1:14).  

angels have also been used in judgement and blessing (exodus 12:18:30).   angels are physically stronger than man, mighty and obedient they are (psalm 103:20; 2nd peter 2:11).  angels are wiser in knowledge then man (2nd samuel 14:20; matthew 24:36), and are filled with insight and understanding above that of man (daniel 9:21-23; 10:10-14).  though they have all of these powerful attributes, they are not omnipotent, omniscient, or omnipresent like that of their creator and god - jesus christ.


we are not to try to contact or usher in god's angels

angels are under our heavenly father's command, to be used for his service, will, and plan.  angels do god's bidding on earth and in the heavenly realm (psalm 103:20-21).  another words, "angels work for god, not us."  we are to seek after god's will, not our own.  no where in the bible does an angel appear according to mans bidding.  it is god alone who determines the course, plan, and action of his angelic host.   in as such, god knows what is best for his children.  he alone will meet our needs, and send angels on our behalf.  

at birth we all have a guardian angel (matthew 18:10; acts 12:5-16).   however, when sin is aloud to florish within a person's life, the guardian angel sent by god does not protect them from their self-willed choices.  repeated sin brings about the forces of demonic hosts of angels.  not god's holy protection.


we most certainly can pray to god for the assistance of his angels.  in as such, we humbly ask in the name of jesus, "send your angels lord, on my behalf."

warning:
we must "never seek" the assistance through prayer or ritual, nor strive to contact angels directly.  by doing so,"we are ushering in demonic spirits to deceive us," instead of god's angels.  we are not to userp god's authority.

*  "for he will give his angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways (psalm 91:11)."
*  "bless the lord, you his angels, mighty in strength, who perform his word, obeying the voice of his word! (psalm 103:20)."


satan's kingdom

satan also has a kingdom (matthew 12:25-26).  at his command are a host of fallen angels (about 1/3 of god's created angels) who, along with satan, rebelled against god.  through self-will, they became slaves to satan (matthew 12:22-30).  they blind the minds of unbelievers (2nd corinthians 4:4), and pervert the word of god through deceptive means, as they work to hinder the true light of the gospel (1st thessalonians 2:18).   god moves through the power of his holy spirit, likewise satan provides counterfeit deceptions through his evil, demonic spirits.  when we invite angels to communicate with us, we open the doorway to satan's demonic kingdom of fallen angels!

contacting your guardian angel is a demonic invitation filled with occult deception - they cannot come in unless you inv ite them!

eric rankin is author of the fictinal book, "the aquarians: an ancient mayan prophecy - a modern phenomenon,"which relates to the 11:11 phenomenon.  rankin writes concerning the character vern, who was in deep water kept a float only by a life vest.   vern then experienced an unexpected thought (pages 3-4) stating, "i mean, before i die, i want to talk to my quardian angel...if i have one. "  vern then hears a soft and feminine voice, repeating an indecipherable string of words, which become clearer.  "hello? vern called out into the night.  is someone there?"  the voice replied, "i'm here, vern"  to which vern questioned, "who...who are you?"  the voice then proceed's to confirm, "i'm the one you asked for."  vern responds, "my guardian angel?"

after a long pause the voice respond's, "if this designation brings you comfort, you are welcome to refer to me as such."  vern becomes convinced that he was not generating both sides of the conversation, for he knew he would not respond to anyone, muchless himself, with words like designation or as such.  "your here because i am dying, aren't you?"  another moment of silence followed by the reply, "i'm here because you invited me here."  "because i invited you here?  you mean that's all i've ever had to do?"


in their book, "ask your angels," by author's alma daniel, timothy wyllie, and andrew ramer,  this occult doorway invitation is mentioned.  the authors write (page 98), "you see, there is a simple rule of angel physics that we must all obey. we angels cannot enter your world - unless you open a window or a doorway for us.  even a crack is enough, a crack of a desire to connect.  once you do that, we can come in."

this is god's "freewill" plan, not angel physic rules.  when you, by your own free will, open other worldy occult doorways, you will receive evil, demonic infulence and consequences.   to invite communication with satan's angelic host of fallen angels, is in fact, a matter of opening yourself up to demonic influence, obsession, and/or possession.   god's holy spirit always confirms his word, causing people to come to the revelation of the fullness of his gospel.  


while satan's counterfeit spirit brings people into deception and bondage (exodus 7:8-25; 8:1-19).  we are told in the word of god to tests the spirit, and to not believe every word (1st john 4:1).  the spirits can be tested by the fruit they yeild (matthew 7:19-23), by fullfilment (deuteronomy 18:21-22), the truth of christ's coming in the flesh, his incarnation (1st john 4:2-3), and in accordance to his holy word (isaiah 8:19-20).


a few biblical examples of god sending his angels on behalf of his children:


"the angel of the lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them."  -  psalms 34:7  

"my god sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions." -  daniel 6:22    

"last night an angel of the god whose i am and whom i serve stood beside me and said, 'do not be afraid, paul.  you must stand trail before caesar; and god has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you."  -  acts 27:23-24

an angel ministered to hagar and ishmael (genesis 16:10, 21:17).

two angels rescued lot out of sodom from the fire and brimstone destruction (genesis 19:1-24).  

three angels visited abraham and sarah (genesis 18:2).

an angel brought food and drink to elijah which served to strengthen and instruct him (1st kings 19:5-7; 2nd kings 1:3, 15).  

the angel gabriel announced to the virgin mary, the birth and the name of the christ child in her womb.  his name is jesus (luke 1:26-35).


we are forbidden to worship god's angels


"let  no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind,"  -  colossians 2:18

john was told by the angel of god not to worship him.  revelation 22:8-9, “i, john, am the one who heard and saw these things. and when i had heard and seen them, i fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. but he said to me, “do not do it! i am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers the prophets and of all who keep the words of this book. worship god!”
