First of all, thanks so much for reading my story and I do appreciate your criticism. Second, I thought I'd respond to some of the ideas you touched upon in your note. Basically, I had intended for this first chapter to leave the reader with questions... that's what makes them want more. The conflict will not be that they cannot go into the sun although that is something that hinders these characters. So, I thought I would clear those ideas up- again thanks for reading! (Oh also, the paragraphs idea is really good- and I also got that comment earlier but I don't know how to change the document on here so, oh well.)
