Just thought I'd share a chuckle. I was enjoying your page when I came across your current motto:

A few years ago I got into Western Martial Arts, specifically Highland Scottish Broadsword and English Quarterstaff. My broadsword instructor was older than most of us (he was in his 40's, we were in our teens and 20's) and he ALWAYS told us that! Reading those words brought back memories.

YOSHI97: Ah, where would we be without our Barbara.
I remember back about six months when you asked me to be a mod. Back then, I remember IMing you goofy stuff from time to time, as I was the imp of the site, and didn't take things too seriously.
When you asked me to be a mod, I was quite taken aback. It's a suit I had worn before, but I was uncertain I wanted to wear again. Back in the day, it was me versus the posse, and I wasn't ready to live that out again. However, I gave it a shot, and am pleased to say you have never allowed that scenario to arise.
To be honest, I wish I would have had YOU running my forum way back when, as I am confident you would have done a far better job than me. (that'a a huge complement, in case you missed it - as I was the owner of the previous mentioned forum, and only ran it myself, as I trusted nobody else).
It's always good to know we have a great captain steering the ship, and it's even better to know her as a friend. Though our communications might be few between us at times, be rest assured, if anyone were to ever give you a major hassle, I would not allow them to push it far.
So ... one year older ... wiser ... and closer to divinity. Remember Barb ... We are like pure wine ... we mature with age and become better.

SAGESYREN: As far back in StoryWrite history as I can remember one name has stood for truth, justice and the umm…, yeah that’s a different show.
Ok, but you have to admit that Barbara’s name is the foundation of StoryWrite, besides Kevin. I have been here since StoryWrite split with AllPoetry and her name was there at the beginning.
A tough but fair leader, she is one that many of us run to for help. Her excellent taste in authors and Sci-Fi shows is where I connect with her. She is funny and extremely intelligent. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, but is kind and thoughtful when dealing with difficult situations.
Thank you Barbara for your encouragement, your enthusiasm, and your energy.
