... There in the pond stood an elephant. It beckoned me to come in. My feet, out of my control, walked into the water. Instinctively, I put my head on his. I felt his breathe, heartbeat and feelings. We were connected. And slowly I heard it. I heard the elephant's voice in my head.
"Your people are killing
This world you are destroying
Ask them to halt
To come together, heart in heart
Conserve and consume what is in need
Refrain from this selfish, destructive deed
Ask them to heed this advise
Ere the world meets its demise"
Then there was nothing, I drifted into unconsiousness...

intersting. I had a dream similar to this once. Thanks for entering my contest. Sorry it's taking me so long to judge

Aww, NOT qualifying of a poem, as I stirictly said in my contest, damn it, oh, sorry but I dont go against rules and all, I think that's REALLY unfair to others, so well...
Now, for the reviweing, this was great. Wonderful touch with the language and I liked the telepathic level of communication. This was awesome!

Cool!
You know...it's a good thing for you I was stricken ill with non-stop migrains since early last night...because it keep me away from the computer for the last 28 hrs, lol.
I WAS going to judge this contest a few hours early last night, since everyone already had their entry in except for you, and one other person (who I just removed since they never came back.)
But a friend convinced me to wait, and give you guys more time. Since I got sick...you had an extra day! lol. (Next time, try to return faster though...because you got lucky this time.)
Anyway....regarding your entry...
I liked it a lot.
I like how you chose to use the telepathic idea to convey a very important planetary message from the wise old elephant. One that is sadly, all too true, and we need to listen to! I sincerely hope you DO finish this story like you said you want to...I think it's a great idea! Good luck in writing it and let me know when it's finished!

hehe sorry, i wasn't online until nine hours after you posted the prompt, and it was night at my timezone... so i couldn't come up with anything until next day in the morning, and i wrote this in like ten minutes... sorry for the delay... i hope you didn't mind so much about me being late...

no worries...
It wasn't a big deal this time, since I was sick anyway, and not online at all for an entire day and night when time was supposed to be up. Heh.
I mainly was saying...that if that hadn't of happened, you might have missed out in getting your entry in, since I was only going to allow a few extra hours for late entries...not a whole extra day. But all worked out fine, so...don't worry about it.
Glad ya made it! You at least got an HW out of the deal, huh?
