"Guinevere, darling? Are you all right?"
She looked up, her bright blue eyes shining with dewey tears.
"No -" her voice wavered in an instant.
His heart stammered, tripping beat over beat when he noticed the pain and the silver object in her palm. "Gwen -" he breathed. "Guinevere, no, please."
"This is the only way that I can make the pain go away, Richard. The only way that I've found to make the thoughts go away. I want to die, Richard. I'm already fading, why can't you see that?"
He kneeled beside her, pulling her hands into his, wrenching the razor from her fist. "I see you fading, love. Why do you think that I keep fighting to pull you back?"
Tears fell as she curled into his lap. "I'm scared of surviving, Richard. Don't go away."
"I'm not going anywhere, Guinevere." As he wrapped his arms around her, he whispered, "I'm not going anywhere, I promise."

this is sweet in a completely tragic way. I tend to root for dying couples. this was good albeit short.
it was intense though, and that's very good.

Oh, my gosh...It's so sad and sweet at the same time. What got them there? What happens next? Can you add more???

Ohhh..I'd love to read the beginning of what happened here. Have you ever thought of expanding on this a little? It's so sad. I shed a tear!
