Fallen Angels///4

Well, that was fun...

Oh shut up you... I mumbled to myself as I followed the guys out the door. Ok, so Mary was upset, BIG DEAL... lost of girls get upset and they ALWAYS get over it all they need is a little Carmen Charm. Sounds ridiculous yes? Well, it may sound like it, but even though I'm straight, I have a way with women that always seems to sweep them off there feet amazing really, and very fun. Now, if only it would work on Mary...

Outside the door, we all filed in line down a long dark hallway. I felt like we were back in medieval times. You know robes, weapons a dark stone hallway with only a small hint of light to lead the way. Lead the way leading the way to what? I didn't know. All I knew was that I was supposed to save the world with these other 12 losers that I had just met sounds like just another night for being a teen.

5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes Wow this is one long hallway, don't you think? I could hear mumbles and whispers coming from everyone else in front of me. They all knew each other; they all had a friend here. All except for Carlos that is. He didn't know anyone, but he sure was making friends quick. Well, good for him I guess, I don't mind walking by myself in the back of a crowd at all even if the girls of the group are planning their sweet, sweet revenge on me ouch...

A couple of minutes into the walk, Adrian slowed her pace and eventually met up with me. What are you, following me or what? She looked down at the floor. "Hi." I don't know why, but I suddenly felt my face turn red, so I looked down at the ground too. "Uh, hi..." I believe we walked like that for a good 5 minutes before I finally decided to just break the silence.

"So um you've got some good moves..."

She looked up at me, asking franticly, "Really? You think so?"

I looked up at her, suddenly feeling a bit more relaxed. "Oh yeah, totally. That was so awesome." A smile stretched across her face as she asked more questions about what I had thought about the fight. Then she started asking questions about myself.

"So, what kind of music do you like?" I smiled. Music was my life. I couldn't live a second without having some song stuck in my head. "Oh well, you know just some mainstream stuff on the radio you know MCR, Linkin Park, Shadows Fall stuff like that, you?" I rushed through a list of my favorite bands and tried to change the subject over to her because usually people were intimidated by my style of music, but to my surprise, she well she giggled. I felt my face flush again.

"Wow, really? Those are some of my favorite bands!" I think my jaw dropped. "Wh- they are?" "Yeah, I have all of their albums." I was completely shocked. I'm not sure why, but I guess finding someone who had my same exact taste in music was a bit exciting to me. "Well, have you heard..." I started, but then stopped when I noticed that Adrian and me were the only ones talking.

We had apparently reached our destination. Everyone gathered around a large stonewall. Wall? Wtf? Ok, I can go along with this. I began to mumble under my breath so that only Adrian could hear. "Great. Lets just stare at the wall and wait for some kind of door to-what the..." My eyes opened wide to see that the wall in fact, had what seemed like cracked itself down the middle and slide away. A grinding sound could be heard from the moving stone and then it stopped. The room it had revealed was pitch black. The man (I cant believe we never asked him his name) walked inside and didn't come back.

We all kind of just stood there looking at each other. A whisper came from Lauren. "What should we do?"Ol'Sammy boy came next to her and took her hand. "I'm not sure..."

Oh great, ANOTHER couple... damn you guys are like bunnies! Suddenly, Carlos moved from the middle of the crowd, black cloak swishing as he walked right into the mysterious Hole In The Wall. This guy was fearless... hey wait, I'm fearless too! Wtf am I standing here for? I too, cloak doing its swishy thing, walked into the hole, and into darkness. Swish!

An odd sensation flowed through my body as I walked deeper into the fortress. A slight, tingling feeling almost, its hard to explain. Soon, it felt like my whole body had fallen asleep and I was forced to stop. A loud humming noise surrounded me and the room seemed to vibrate. Adrenaline shot through my veins as I tried to decide what to do. Run? Where? I had walked away from the light and was in total darkness. I couldn't move my body, that tingling feeling now growing into an electric shock flowing throughout my entire body. My head felt like it was about to explode. A whimper escaped my mouth as I struggled not to show any sign of weakness. No matter what I thought of, the feeling just kept growing until I felt my whole body was going to burst. I let out a scream of pain and my head began to spin and suddenly it stopped...

I felt the cool stone against my cheek my limp body now regaining feeling. I opened my eyes, a bit cloudy at first, but soon began to focus. Focus? On what you may ask. Well I was in yet again, another stone covered room. I sat up as a looked around and noticed that there was, of course, no way out... lucky me.

A dim light seemed to be coming from the walls, giving the room a golden hue. As I began to stand, I noticed that everyone else had decided to follow Carlos and me and were lying scattered all over the floor. One, two, five, nine, eleven... Eleven? Carlos was missing, and so was the old guy... mister what's his face? I don't know. I looked around and walked over to Adrian as the others began to wake up. She lay on the floor with her back against the wall... sword drawn out of fear I suppose. I reached over to touch her, when suddenly her eyes fluttered open and a smile stretched across her face.

"Hi." Her voice was a bit shaky, but at least she could talk. "Hi." I breathed out, and decided to help her get off the floor. It's the least I could do for someone who didn't want to seek simple and utter REVENGE on me... its only good manners to be nice, now isn't it?

We all stood around looking at each other. No talking, just looking. I hate it when people stare. Logan came over towards us and I backed away. I didn't want to impose on her moment with him, so I began to walk around the edges of the room. Of course, I was the ONLY one doing something strange, so naturally, everyone began staring. Screw them. So what? I'm being observant, curious, SMART about my situation and decided to check it out. I don't think having a staring contest was in the category anywhere.

The room seemed pretty simple. No bolts or nails on the walls. No cracks or holes. Just a simple room with four walls, twelve weirdoes, and a few flecks of dirt. I decided to walk around it again, this time looking at the room from different angles. I had noticed that some of the others had sat themselves in a circle, mumbling. The others were just standing around. Oh what help these guys are!

And of course, the staring... Oh, the agony of that of which is the staring! Too dramatic? I thought so to but ANYways... I tend to have a short temper, and all this staring was just too much. I stopped walking and just stood there, watching everyone else grow silent, thinking to them selves. I decided to play some games. Why not? We're in a freakin stone box after all. I gotta entertain myself somehow. I looked over to Terry, who was sitting in a corner, hand on his face, eyeing me... studying me. I looked at him right in the eye and the contest began. He blinked, and so did I, but we never tore our gaze from each other. Everyone else's heads began to move back and forth from Terry and me. Like a dog watching as its owner teases it with a warm piece of meat back and forth, back and forth.

The tension was rising... he was good at this, but I was better. My mind began to wonder off to other thoughts. Food was the main topic for the time being. I was pretty hungry, but I would live. I began to start wondering what everyone was thinking about. What were they hiding from me that they didn't want me to hear? I'm used to it by now of course, but the curiosity still kills me. Sure, I may have been popular and athletic, but I was the school outcast, loved by some, hated by many, so stares and threats never seemed to stop.

/I wonder how long they can do this? /

/She looks ready to give up I bet she.../

/I can't believe we are actually watching this, I mean, what's the.../

/Ouch, I think I broke a nail! /

Suddenly, voices began to fill my ears. I looked around, but no one was talking.

/What's she looking at now? /

/I really like her hair.../

/How many times.../

/I think she's on a trip ha-ha/

These voices... where are they coming from? They were getting louder and more of them came... different voices, all of them saying something different all over them coming from inside my head... OUCH!

"Shut up!" I yelled out to everyone, but they stayed silent. The voices kept coming and my searing headache brought me to me knees.

"Stop talking! Agh!!!" The pain was stabbing me in my head. It hurt so much. I looked around and still, no one spoke, but the voices came.

/What the hell is she talking about? /

/Man, I knew she was gonna be the weird one/

/Someone should help.../

"STOP!!!" And it did. Everything. No more voices. I was breathing hard; my heart rate had gone up dramatically. I looked over to Adrian who had a scared look in her eyes.

/What's wrong with you? /

I answered her, "I...I don't know"

She took a step back. "What are you talking about?" I starred at her for a moment. "Didn't you just ask me-"

"-I didn't say anything..."

I shook my head. "No, I heard you ask me what was wrong... I heard you..."

She stood there with her head slightly tilted to the side. "I didn't say it...I-I thought it..."

I looked around the room, my breath coming back to its normal state. "You what?"

She gave me a curious look. "I didn't say it but I was thinking it..."

My mind began racing. She thought it? That's not right. I could have sworn I heard her say... unless...

I looked back to Adrian and starred at her in her eyes. /Can you…can you hear me? /

Her eyes shot open as she nodded her head. I looked over to Lauren. /Can you hear me too? /

She began to look around the room, searching for the voice, not sure what to do. I looked over to Alex. /Can you hear me? / He stood there for a moment, and then I heard him inside my head /...yes I can hear you.../

I looked down at the ground. "Holy shit..." Adrian giggled. Logan spoke. "What's so funny? I want to laugh too."

Adrian walked over to me and picked me up from off the ground, dusting off my clothes. I wasn't going to reject it. Sure, clean me up, then after that, make me a sandwich would ya?

She turned around to face everyone. "She can read our minds..."...
