Invasion Of Stagna 3(Complete)

Breeders(Chapter 1)2

"Their gestation period is appoximately 90 days which is as close to our gestation period we have found in an Arkanoid mammal. We can clone these female Stagnatians beginning with fifty and have over a hundred thousand in ten years," said the assistant to the senior researcher. An Arkan year was approximately three times the length of a Stagna 3 year. They were Arkanots from the planet Arkan nearly ten thousand light years from Stagna 3. The ship they were on was staying well out of the range of Stagna 3's sensory devices. They had just moved the female Stagnatian from the suspension tube where they kept her. They had moved her to an examination table. She passed from a dream like state to full awareness. 4

They were discussing the female specimen. She was completely naked, paralyzed by a neurological field, breathing shallowly. She was aware of their speech, but she didn't understand their language. She also had complete feeling in her body, but still she was unable to move. She was very frightened, but could not speak. She could not have communicated with the Arkanots, anyway. These two did not know her language. To them, she was a lower species not worthy of communication. She was their first laboratory specimen of her species. She had delivered the second specimen only a short while earlier; a female clone of herself. They had allowed her to deliver naturally and it had taken about 90 of their days or nine months according to Stagna 3 time. The experiment had been successful. Now they needed to see if she could deliver an Arkanot infant. They had been in orbit around Stagna 3 for 120 Arkon days, or nearly a year Sagna 3 time.5

They were examining her to determine her condition. She was in her early twenties, Stagna 3 time. Her frame and the size of her infant were about the same as that of Arkanot females. They took blood from her and extracted a sample of her milk from her left mammary gland. Monitoring the heartbeat of the mother and infant, they were well satisfied.6

"We could induce labor at say 60 days, and that would speed the process by 50%. Our colonization rate could be increased proportionately. We can eliminate the males and the females beyond child bearing years, and take over Stagna 3(Stagna for our solar system and 3 for our planet number from the sun) much quicker," the assistant continued.7

Arkanots and Stagnatians looked much the same on outward appearance. There were differences inside, but the primary difference was that Arkanots were linked telepathically and could be in constant communication with the whole. Their plans were to abduct and clone Stagna 3 females as breeders. Then to breed Arkanots and distribute them all over Stagna 3 until there were enough in number to take over the planet. Acting as a unified force, their numbers could be significantly less than the human population and still achieve victory. Also, as Arkanots appeared human, they could strike without warning. The key was to build the population of Arkanots quickly. Using Stagnatian females as breeders seemed a simple solution.8

"If these Stagnatian females breed as well as I am hoping, they will be useful in colonizing other planets," said the senior researcher.9

"They will also be a good food source," added the assistant.10

"You will note the obvious difference quickly," the senior researcher continued. "Instead of four mammary glands of Arkanots, the stagnatians have only two. We'll have to keep this difference hidden until it is time for the takeover. Neither the male nor female have our four nipples. The rest of the external appearance is relatively the same."11

"The female here gave birth only twenty four hours ago and seems to be for the most part recovered from the experience," observed the assistant. "Quite resilient. She could be made fertile again within a day to a week."12

"Our base on Stagna 3 is equiped to handle the rapid population growth. It is thought to be a Stagnatian city. The Arkanots there know several of the Stagnatian languages and are thought to be American," said the senior researcher. "The colony has been there now for 5 years."13

The Arkanots had taken some 500 humans captive years before and studied their languages in anticipation of colonizing the planet.14

Cloning Stagnatian females was the next logical step.15

17

It had been long enough now that her memories seemed like dreams; her family, her children, her husband. She knew she had a new baby. 'God!' it was painful enough, but they kept her paralyzed and fed her through tubes, and through tubes she excreted her waste. She hadn't realized she was pregnant until she had gone into labor, but she remembered well the pain. She hadn't seen the baby, but she knew she had had one. Most the time, life was kind of like a day dream. She would remember things and dream about things and hope for escape from the mad world she was in. She didn't know where she was. The senior researcher and his assistant looked human. She thought she might be a part of some secret government experiment, German probably. She could hear them speak, but understood not a word.18

She had a clear memory of the day it all began. She and her husband had argued as they often did. He left for work and she started fixing breakfast for the kids. It was January 1925. She heard a knock had answered the front door to find a man and a woman who were dressed nicely. The woman sprayed something in her face that smelled of honey. She remembered becoming dizzy. Next she awoke on the cold metal table with these scientists peering over her. She couldn't move, but could tell by the cold air on her skin she was naked. She felt a needle prick on her arm. She didn't know they were taking a sample of her blood for testing. Then they penetrated her vagina with a cold metallic probe. She felt a warm liquid squirt inside herself, and the suction of the probe vaccuuming it out. She didn't understand that they were harvesting her eggs. A little later, the probe again and a similar release of warm fluid.19

Now she had delivered a baby. She was sure of it. 'That damn probe again!' They were probing her vagina she suspected to see if everything was all right. She really wished they would let her free of the paralysis and tell her what was going on. She knew also that they were playing with her thoughts. Soon they would put her back in the tube. She wondered about the baby. 'Let me go,' she screamed within herself. 'Would she ever be free again? Or were they going to kill her?' A wave of panic ensued with these thoughts.20

21

Arkanot Incubators(Chapter 2)22

23

It had been a comparatively short time and they had her back on the examination table. She couldn't really gage the passage of time, it seemed like she had been there forever. Although in many ways, her time on the table seemed much like her time in the suspension tube, she knew it was reality. She spent almost all of her time in the tube in a state of delirium and dreams. She was kept under constant paralysis in a neurological field. When she was on the table she had complete awareness, but was entirely unable to move.24

She could see the two she thought were scientists when they loomed above her as they examined and tested her. The air was chilly. She could feel the cold touch of instruments and the warmer touch of their hands and she knew she was naked. She was becoming less frightened, but constantly wanted to escape. She did not understand their language, though she could hear them and knew they discussed her.25

The assistant said, "She is ovulating now and we should be able to impregnate her. This is the real test; to see if she can bear and give birth to an Arkanot infant."26

He guided the probe inside her to collect some of her eggs.27

She felt the cold metal inside her as it expelled a warm liquid and then vaccuumed it out of her uterus. The liquid passed inside her uterus through her cervix, and then was vacuumed back into the probe collecting some of her eggs.28

Outside of her womb, they fertilized the eggs with semen from Arkanots and then inserted the probe again. The probe then expelled the fertilized eggs back inside her uterus. She was pregnant with Arkanot sperm cells. Now only time would tell. They put her back into the suspension tube and her dream stasis began again. 'God help me!' she thought inside herself as they placed her inside the tube.29

"It is probably only safe for the subject to allow two or three of the infants to come to term," said the senior researcher.30

31

32

Sixty Arkanot days had passed and they were inducing labor. She felt the prick of the syringe as they injected the drug. She was on the examination table again. Soon her pain was intense as her contractions came. It was at this point that she realized that she was pregnant again and this time she made the realization that this was all she was being used for; to make babies. She was just a living baby machine. She didn't know they were alien infants she was bearing. She was bringing twins to life.33

She was still paralyzed, but they gave her nothing for the pain. She was healthy and their concern was primarily for the infant Arkanots. If this experiment was successful, and there was no reason to think it would not be, they intended to expand the number of Stagnatian incubators into the thousands by abduction and cloning. They had determined that stagnatian females could bare infants from the age of 12 to the mid forties in Stagna 3 years, or from about 4 to 15 years by Arkanot time. Although Arkanots lived much longer than humans on average, they matured into adults at about the same rate. Their ship was equipped to stay in orbit around Stagna 3 for more than a thousand Stagna 3 years, and long before then the colonization and take over of Stagna 3 should be complete.34

"She is crowning. Here comes the first." said the assistant. "It's alive." They were greatly satisfied. Then she bore the second infant. It, too, was alive; a complete success. As one of the men held one of the twin Arkanot infants she saw to her horror that it had four nipples. 'Is it somekind of a mutant or what?' she wondered in terror.35

"Make a full report," said the senior researcher. "Send it to me immediately when you are done."36

There was a captain of the ship and a mission commander. The mission commander was responsible for the existing colony on Stagna 3, and the colonies yet to be established. He would be very pleased with the results.37

They kept the female Stagnatian on the examining table for approximately a third of one of their days under observation. She wished she could die. Then they returned her to the suspension tube. They would impregnate her again during her next ovulation cycle.38

39

40

"It was a complete success," said senior researcher Occuban.41

"I expected nothing less." smiled Commander Echov. "I commend you and I am certain the High Council will reward you for your service."42

"I suggest a small start to begin, we don't want to draw early attention. We have already built fifty suspension tubes aboard the ship. I recommend no more than two thousand in our colony on Stagna 3. When these children reach maturity in about five years, we can begin to infiltrate the Stagnatian populus more quickly."43

"I believe we can have 2,000 tubes ready in the colony in ten days. You will be prepared, of course," said Echov.44

"If you can collect the specimens, we should have no problem inseminating them. To avoid attention, may I suggest taking no more than one Stagnatian female from each major city."45

"I was thinking along similar lines," agreed Echov.46

The colony was a suburb which over the last ten years had been almost completely occupied by Arkanots. It was just outside of Los Angeles. With their torsos covered by clothing, it was virtually impossible to tell an Arkanot from a Stagnatian(human).47

"I recommend that you capture only young female Stagnatians which have many child bearing years before them. You should choose those that will bear for at least seven years(Arkanot time). During that period with induced labor a healthy Stagnatian should bear at least forty children. If we begin new breeding colonies, we could have millions of Arkanots in 25 years."48

Using a transport beam, they gathered the healthy young female Stagnatians. Using a hundred two member Arkanot teams, they had captured the number they sought, 2050, in 20 days. They captured the females in a manner similar to the way they had captured their first specimen. The Stagnatian females were hardly missed. They chose low income and heavily populated areas for their specimens. Inseminating them with Arkanot semen or cloning them, they began the breeding process. They kept the breeders underground in the colony. The population of the suburb grew and the Arkanots dispursed. That began in 1925, Stagnatian time; about 28 Arkanot years ago. It was now 2010 on the Stagnatian calander. Arkanot population had increased to ten million and there were now twenty colonies, each with at least 2,000 breeders.49

Arkanots prospered well in Stagnatian capitalism, and they were gaining control of much of the wealth. They were smarter, lived longer, and were better armed than the Stagnatians. Takeover plans were imminent. The Stagnatians not only provided a good source for incubation, many of the Stagnatian breeders had been cloned; but as their bodies had all the nutrients needed to sustain Arkanots, they were also a potentially great food source. When the breeders began to lose their ability to breed, they were quite the delicacy. The first specimen had outlived her usefulness as a breeder and had been eaten years ago along with countless others.50

51

A Date With An Alien(Chapter 3)52

53

Although Arkanots were telepathic, sometimes for their own piece of mind, they would shut themselves off telepathically from the whole. In this state they were vulnerable to attack without alerting other Arkanots. I would discover this later.54

I met Cheryl at work a year before and she and I would kid around and tell jokes. I never really thought of her as a serious romantic interest, although I did like her a lot. She was quite attractive, but for some reason I couldn't explain then, I had no sexual interest in her. She was twenty-five, had no children, and was my supervisor. We worked for blood suckers, a finance company.55

It had been sometime since I had been out with a woman and longer since I had sex and on a quirk, it occurred to me that Cheryl might be willing to go out. I had never seen her with a guy and she never mentioned one. I even thought she might be a lesbian. Anyway, she was fun and I was very horny and I figured, 'What the heck!'56

"Would you like to go clubbing with me," I asked bluntly.57

She smiled, "What am I; the last woman on earth?"58

I got the point. I had taken my time.59

It is kind of dangerous going out with your boss anyway, so I was thinking about backing down.60

"Okay," she said suddenly and I think she was as surprised as I was at her decision.61

"Pick you up at 8:00?"62

"Oh, so you are trying to pick me up, are you?"63

"You couldn't weigh more than 300lbs," I returned. She weighed about 140lbs. and was 5'8". She had ocean blue eyes and dark hair. I was actually beginning to think about her figure which was slender and well formed. Gorgeous she wasn't, but attractive she was.64

She laughed.65

"Where do you live?" I asked.66

"This side of Mars."67

"Okay then, you pick me up. Look in the file for my address, you extraterrestrial!"68

When I got home, I took a quick shower and shaved though I could have got by. I was old fashioned and splashed on some Old Spice.69

She arrived promptly at eight. We went to a country western club. It was large and had over a hundred people in it. There was a dance floor, of course.70

We got drinks. Alcohol is a thing I discovered Arkanots are not wise to drink. I don't think she had ever tried it.71

"Let's dance."72

"I don't know how," she said and I couldn't believe her.73

She was twenty-five and certainly should know how to dance. Or so I reasoned. I drug her out on the dance floor and sure enough, she stepped all over my feet. After about our fifth dance with determination and coaching on my part, she got through a dance without bruising my toes.74

I could tell she was delighted.75

"You are unbelieveable," I remarked.76

She laughed, "You don't know the half of it."77

I was beginning to think I didn't. She was like no woman I'd been with before, but she was a lot of fun.78

I was just an average guy, but I thought of myself as almost handsome. It was clear that she liked me, so that was really all that mattered.79

She really enjoyed dancing and drinking. We danced through the night. I didn't think she should drive, so I suggested she let me drive her home. I wasn't at all certain how to handle it. I didn't know when she agreed to let me drive her if she was expecting sex and I also didn't know if having sex with my boss was such a good idea. Not having sex with her could be a bad idea, I was in a quandary. 80

I helped her to her apartment and it was clear that she was not ready for the party to end. So I tried to kiss her. She didn't respond. Instead she looked almost horrified. I was deeply puzzled.81

"Don't tell me you have never kissed?" 82

"No," she said in a serious tone. "I think we have gone far enough."83

I was taken aback. Put downs I had had, but this was a shock. She had been eating it up.84

"Why?"85

She didn't answer.86

"You're not going to fire me now, are you?"87

"No. I just think we have gone too far."88

I didn't know if I was coming or going, but I was a healthy male alone with an elgible woman and I wasn't quite ready to give it up. I could stop with a kiss. I wasn't even sure I wanted to go further, but I did intend to try for a kiss. Damn it! There were other jobs.89

Slowly, looking her in the eyes I approached her again. I kissed her on the lips. Her eyes watered but she did not open her mouth.90

"We can't do this," she said nearly in tears.91

"Why not?" I asked and frankly I was beginning to get a little pissed.92

"I can't tell you. You had better go."93

"No, I am going to wait for an explanation. We have been together all night and had a great time, what in the hell has gone sour?" I demanded.94

If it had not been for the alcohol, she would have probably never told me.95

"I'm not human."96

"Somehow I am almost willing to believe that, sister," I said angrily. "Try another one."97

"I'm serious."98

"And so am I," I was really pissed. "Prove it!"99

Slowly she unbuttoned her blouse. Under her bra were two smaller tits where there shouldn't have been any. I sat down in shock. All interest in sex was gone. So was my sanity. She was an alien or I had lost my mind. I was certain I had not had that much to drink. I figured I must be going bananas.100

"I think I must kill you," she said.101

That statement kind of floated past me. I was still in shock. That and for some unknown reason, I didn't feel she was a threat.102

Questions began to pop into my head.103

"Where are you from?" I asked.104

"I was born here near Los Angeles."105

"Are you a mutant?"106

"No. I am an Arkanot."107

"What is that?"108

"We are decendents of a civilization thousands of light years away."109

"Are you really going to try to kill me?"110

"I am afraid that I must."111

"You are one hell of a date," I laughed, though I don't now know why it seemed funny, but my laughter may have saved my life.112

"This is very unfortunate." she stated.113

"Why must you kill me," I asked.114

"It is too soon for our presence to be known."115

"How many of you are there."116

"Millions."117

I was crazy. Though I believed my eyes and I believed what she was saying, anybody would say I was nuts.118

"Are you telling me, that it is either you or me, but one of us must die?"119

I was not about to kill her, but I did not intend to allow her to kill me, either.120

"There must be some way to work this out." I said logically.121

"I can't take the chance that you could convince anyone of our existence."122

"The authorities will know sooner or later." I observed.123

"Yes, but not until we're ready."124

"So this is a takeover."125

"Yes, we are colonizing your planet."126

"Why?"127

"It is our way, we are masters of the universe."128

Had she been in telepathic communication with the rest of her people my fate would have been sealed. However, between the alcohol and her geniune feelings for me, she did not want to kill me. She was trying hard to think of a way to spare me. Perhaps, even if it meant her own life. I did not know this then.129

"I will have to fight you," I said honestly.130

"I cannot betray my people," she replied.131

"Can't there be a truce between us; your people and mine."132

"I have never known of such."133

"Instead of fighting now," I said considering the predicament. "Let's think about it for a week and then we can have another night out. I promise I will not say anything. Maybe we'll come up with an idea."134

I knew it was insane. If what she said was true, I should kill her and offer her body as proof that we had been invaded. However, murder was not in me. It seemed that killing me was not in her, either.135

"Can I trust you?" she asked.136

"We have to trust each other," I answered simply.137

I kissed her on her forehead and lifted her up. She was demonstrating in this crazy way more concern than any woman before her had ever shown me. I kissed her lips and hugged her. Though she did not return the kiss, she did return my hug.138

The week that followed I practically did not sleep. If I tried to tell anyone, they would think I was nuts. I half expected her to disappear, but each day at work she was there. We exchanged knowing glances, but we didn't joke as we usually did and we talked only when we had to. I had no idea what she was thinking or what she might plan, but I realized that my life might depend on her decision.139

140

Second Chances, Second Dances(Chapter 4)141

142

At work we pretended that everything was normal. My life was insanity the rest of the time. I respected her, I was emotionally drawn to her, and yet I feared her. I believed her people were quite capable of taking over the planet. Cheryl had said there were already millions here, and yet apparently we were unaware. I didn't know if it was possible to stop the takeover and I certainly knew of little I could do. I decided if there was any hope, I had to convince Cheryl to betray her people. Would she do that for me? The proof was in the fact I was still alive, although I did not know it. I was not aware at the time that had she linked with her people telepathically, I would have had no chance.143

She agreed to meet me at my place, and I fully intended to take her dancing again. I figured whatever happened, we should do it in style and with my funny kind of logic while having fun. I was certain insanity ran deeply in me by then. My life at stake and the safety of the world in the balance, and I was going dancing.144

Cheryl had different plans.145

Cheryl arrived promptly. She came into my apartment and opened her purse. She took out a weapon with which I was unfamiliar, but a weapon I was certain.146

"So that's your solution," I said.147

"It has to be."148

"I was hoping for one last night of fun," I forced a smile.149

"You're impossible," she laughed in spite of herself.150

"How does that work?" I asked referring to the weapon she held.151

"It's quick and painless."152

"I appreciate that, but don't you remember our agreement included another night out."153

"How can you want to spend more time with me when I have to kill you? Shouldn't we just finish it?"154

"I don't know about you," I answered smiling again. "But I am in no rush."155

In truth, neither was she. She still hadn't communicated to the others that I knew anything about the invasion. That was tantamount to treason. She had already put herself at risk for my sake, though I did not know it. There was a reason for this and whether it was because her birth mother had been human or not, she loved me. I was beginning to suspect this. After all, she was prepared to kill me, but she hadn't done it.156

I ventured a guess and I hit the target, "Are there any others who are having doubts?"157

"I don't know," she said and started crying.158

I hugged her, but made no effort to take her weapon. She melted into my arms. I suppose I should have killed her, my life was definitely at risk. She had come fully intending to kill me.159

"Kill me," she said finally. "I can't kill myself."160

"No, if you feel this way, surely there are others and there must be hope for all of us." An alien army of millions smarter and better equipped than the human population was probably already more than our equal. That was one of the thoughts that had been keeping me awake.161

"If there is a war, there will be many killed and your people will probably win anyway," I reasoned. 162

"But we plan to enslave you and use your women as incubators and the rest of you as a food source."163

That certainly got my attention. I pondered that for a while. It was a lot to swallow.164

"How will killing you change that?" I asked finally.165

"I don't think it can change anything, but I can't bring myself to hurt you," she sobbed.166

"How much time do we have," I asked refering to humanity.167

"At best, a few years."168

"Can you separate yourself from your people?" I contemplated.169

"I don't know. Maybe for a while."170

"Isn't that better than dying? Maybe we can do something about it."171

"Okay," she answered finally. "But what can we do?"172

"Now let's go dancing. There is nothing we can do about it tonight. We have got to be very careful for your sake as well as mine. I have some ideas, but we can discuss them tomorrow. We are about to go on the run."173

We went dancing. We came back to my apartment afterward. I held her close and kissed her lips. 174

"Do you know how to french kiss?" I asked simply.175

"No."176

I explained and we kissed again. This time the kiss was much better. I asked her to stay and invited her to sleep with me on the bed. She started to lay down fully clothed and I said, "It's all right."177

She nervously disrobed and took off her bra. I was more prepared. She left her panties on and climbed in beside me. We cuddled for a while, but I did not feel like trying to have sex with her. I don't know how she felt about it. Cuddling with her, she didn't feel like an alien.178

179

Loving An Alien(Chapter 5)180

181

At first I had been repulsed when I had seen her extra set of nipples, and still it bothered me some. However, the first time I had consider cunnilingus, I had been repulsed. It took time to change one's conceptions. Though not normal on humans, extra nipples were quite normal on some animals and she was, after all; an entirely different species. She was of a species not originated on my planet. I wondered if humanity had come from some other solar system. What if Arkanots and humans had evolved one from the other. 182

I was beginning to adjust and become accustomed to seeing her extra nipples, but I was still not really interested in more than kissing, yet. Although her upper mammary glands appeared normal and attractive, I was not able to sexually accept the other two. I just wasn't really drawn to them at all and I had no idea what to expect of her vulva.183

I woke before her and I purposely studied her extra nipples. There was not much rise for those mammary glans, and I wondered if they would fill with milk if she were pregnant. I suspected they might. Her other breasts looked quite beautiful as breasts go. It was not really such an awful thing. I wondered what differences her pussy might have. It gave me a curious feeling as I considered these thoughts. She was really very pretty in her way.184

She stirred. She was waking, but I waited for her to wake on her own. I didn't want to disturb her. It was a Saturday, so we were not planning to work. I knew that soon we would have to leave town, anyway. I felt as though I was in the military reserves and had been called into active service. I had to try to do something, but I knew there were dangers posed to us from all sides at this point. Her people would want us dead, and the authorities if they believed us would want to hold us indefinitely while they tried to solve the problems without us. They might even kill and disect Cheryl. We had no friends at this point.185

She stirred again. Her eyes opened and it was clear for a moment she didn't know where she was. She saw me and seemed surprised.186

"I thought you would run," said Cheryl.187

"I didn't think that would be good for anyone," I answered.188

I was wearing only my underwear and she still just her panties, but she seemed relaxed about it now.189

"If you liquidate all your holdings, except your car; about how much cash can you come up with?" I asked. I had been thinking about how we were going to make our way in hiding.190

"I am not sure," she answered. "A couple of hundred thousand."191

"Wow!" I said. "That should do us pretty well. I can add about ten thousand."192

"Where would you like to go?" I asked.193

"I don't care." I could tell she was troubled.194

"I think Houston would be good," I told her. "It has good weather most the time and we should be able to stay lost there. Are your people there?"195

"Yes, of course. We are almost everywhere."196

"Can they find you?"197

"If I am linked telepathically, they can."198

"Can you avoid that?"199

"Yes, I think I can."200

I reached over and touched one of her lower nipples. She smiled shyly. "You are curious about them, aren't you," she said.201

"Have you had a lover?" I asked.202

"No. We usually don't mate as early as humans."203

"Do you marry?"204

"On earth we do, but not on Arkan or other planets we have already conquered."205

"Are you a virgin?"206

"I guess you would say so. It really has no meaning to us."207

"Do you love me?" I asked.208

She was silent for several minutes appearing somewhat puzzled. "I'm not really sure what love is, it has no meaning to us. Perhaps. I can't harm you."209

"Do you love me?" she questioned concerned.210

"No, but I like you a lot."211

Getting back to the more serious matter I asked, "Can you tell an Arkanot on site?"212

"Only if they are open telepathically, but they would know I was one."213

"That could be a problem. Can you control what you project?"214

"To some degree." Cheryl answered.215

I kissed her and she kissed me back. We held each other. Was I going to love her?216

There was much to do and plans to be made. We discussed our move to Houston. She was fretful and anxious and so was I. She and I against her world and mine. Alone, but at the same time we had each other for whatever the consequences. Our chances of success, none. Our chance of failure, certain. We had no choice. We were trapped in circumstances far beyond our control. The only advantage we had, I hoped, was that the Arkanots were not on to us. If there was any opportunity to stop the takeover, it would be to quickly persuade some people in places of power there was an invasion going on and not by mistake tell it to an Arkanot. They had been intentionally taking over positions of authority and gaining economic control. I had no real understanding of just how involved their takeover plans were or just how likely they were to succeed.217

"How many of those weapons do you have?" I asked.218

"Three."219

"How do they work?"220

"You just point and press the button. They make no sound. They produce an electomagnetic wave that disrupts the brain. Simply, it shuts the brain off and the target is dead instantly. A person never knows what hits them. They operate on a battery and recharge electronically."221

"Tomorrow is Sunday. Monday we convert everything to cash. We will try to leave by Wednesday. We'll have to travel light. We'll take both cars," I told her.222

I knew I was crazy, but I took her dancing that evening.223

Sunday morning came and I woke before her again. Again I studied her nipples. I was getting more and more curious. I think I have a normal sexual appetite and in spite of the differences I guess I was becoming interested in her sexually. Her kisses seemed quite normal, now. I watched as she breathed. It was hard to believe she had been an enemy only a couple of days before. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do.224

She woke and realized I was studying her. She smiled.225

"Do you mind?" I asked.226

"No."227

I touched and gently squeezed both of her lower nipples. Just like regular nipples they were, but an extra set. I decided I could live with that.228

"How does your pussy compare?" I questioned.229

She answered, "I don't know."230

"May I?" I asked.231

She was uncomfortable about it, I could tell; but she slipped out of her panties. Her pubic hair seemed normal. I carefully explored her vulva with my fingers. She had the standard equipment; a clitoris shaft, hood and clit; and a urethral orifice and vaginal opening. Most of her hymen was gone. I had limited experience, but I was relieved that her cunt looked basically the same as the human women I had seen.232

"Looks very similar to human pussy," I told her. She seemed pleased. I still was not ready for more than kisses.233

"May I see yours?" she asked. With the shoe on the other foot, I felt embarrassed; but she had shown me hers. I pulled off my underwear.234

"May I touch it?" she asked curiously. I was getting hard.235

She commented, "A little different, but similar. The penises of our males are more curved and darker."236

More than I wanted to know, but I guessed it was all right. Neither of us was ready to go further. We dressed. She went to her apartment to begin preparations while I did the same. We were certainly an odd couple.237

238

How Things Were In Houston(Chapter 6)239

240

The Arkanot invasion was going well in Houston. The Arkanots there were already nearly 5,000 strong. They had gained some positions of power and authority; the mayor, various council members, the cheif of police, leaders in the local media, and key persons in finance. Cheryl determined this by briefly going telepathic for periods while we were away from our house.241

We had rented a nice little two bedroom house. We had acquired good false IDs for a tidy some and opened a joint account and got Visa debit cards. We had tranfered the titles of our cars into our new names and our tags and new Texas driver's licenses were legitamate. After careful consideration, we decided to go by our true first names changing the last to Smith as it was so common, John and Cheryl Smith.242

"We have to begin building a defense," I said.243

"What do you mean?" Cheryl asked.244

"We have got to persuade others of my kind that there is an invasion in progress and your kind to switch sides."245

"No small order," Cheryl commented.246

"We have got to build an army and we have got to win, or die trying," I stated. "I think I know how we can start." 247

"How do you propose?" she asked.248

"We need to alert the media, government leaders, and the military. As soon as we start, the war will begin. Both sides will be after us. Don't kid yourself. Your people are probably looking for you now."249

"I know," said Cheryl. "I didn't want to worry you. I thought about leaving you, but I think you are right. We have to try to stop the takeover plan, or at least modify it."250

"Surely, your people could have simply annihilated the human race. Why didn't they?"251

"They want to use you as a food source and your women as incubators," Cheryl said. "The goal is to take over the universe. This just one small planet. In a hundred years, there will be several billion of us on earth; but that will be long after the takeover. As you can see, the leaders of Houston are nearly ours. You can be sure that this is true of the other major cities in the world. It is probably too late."252

Cheryl continued, "People who try to fight will probably quietly disappear. Maybe they already have."253

"Why are you smiling?" Cheryl asked.254

"You just made me realize that there is also the possibility that there are more like us. We may not be fighting alone."255

I added, "The odds against us being the only ones out of the population of this planet of your people and of humans who know about the invasion who are also fighting it are beyond calculation. Perhaps infinite. I know there are more, but how do we find them?"256

"First we need converts and fast," I continued.257

"How?"258

It hit me like a bolt of lightning. "Democrats!" I exclaimed.259

"Why?"260

"The Republicans are in control. Your people will have most of their effort devoted to taking over the Republican party. Maybe they already have. The Democrats are anxious to regain control, my bet is that your people don't know the volatility of our political system. We are going to go to a democratic meeting. I need a gun."261

"Why? Our weapons are more effective," Cheryl quizzed me.262

"They look like cell phones. I need something humans will recognize as a weapon."263

I discussed with her the plan that was forming in my mind. Even she believed for the first time, there might be a chance. She was a registered Republican and had been active. Could it be that most if not all Arkanots in the United States were Republican?264

It was a week before we found what seemed like a suitable Democratic meeting. It turned out that this meeting was a weekly event and consisted of about a hundred in attendence. I felt that was about right. Also, it would be active Democrats, leaders in the community. Could the Arkanots have made a fatal error in the United States, the most powerful nation in the world they were conquering? Might they have overlooked the Democrats?265

If I could convert even half of the Democrats in that meeting, there was nothing that could stop us. I intended to convert them all. I was excited. I felt real hope. Crazy, probably; but I already was relatively certain I was a fruit cake.266

We joined the meeting. Cheryl and I went in separately. She was armed with a neural disruptor and a small automatic. I had disruptor and a long barrel thirty eight. We were playing for all the marbles. Our weapons were loaded and charged.267

They served food and they ate as they met. When they began the meeting I walked up to the moderator and said, "I have something very important to discuss." Cheryl had moved to the door. We wanted a peaceful discussion.268

The moderator was thrown off balance, but gave me the floor.269

"This needs your immediate attention. What I will say will seem beyond belief, but bear with me. I can prove what I have to say," I began telling the story and waited for it to sink in. I already had their complete attention.270

"We are being invaded by aliens," I said simply.271

After a short moment, some laughed and others chuckled.272

"Who is invading us?" asked one person.273

"Arkanots and they have already invaded."274

"How do you propose to prove that?"275

"I intend to let you meet and talk with one."276

There was a noticeably different kind of silence this time.277

"What is their purpose?" asked another.278

"Complete takeover of this planet."279

One of the Democrats was trying to use his cell phone. I pulled out my pistol. "I am going to have to ask you to put that away until I finish. If anyone tries to leave, one of my associates will be forced to act."280

It was clear to them that I was a nut, but a dangerous one. They also were not certain how many nuts I had brought with me. To Cheryl to disguise her I said, "I am afraid I am going to have to ask you to sit down, Miss," Cheryl sat near the door.281

"How many are here," asked the person who had spoke first. She struck me as an intelligent woman and I felt certain she was just humoring me. 282

"More than 10 million," I said. 283

"What's your full name?" I asked.284

"Beverly Austin."285

"Write down your name and phone number, you will be my contact."286

"Do I have a choice?" she asked.287

"Yes," I said. She was a middle aged woman with dark graying hair. Average height, she was a little overweight, but she was intelligent and she was not panicked. She was coping well with the situation. I appreciated her a lot.288

"You said you would show us an Arkanot," she said.289

"Cheryl, come here."290

Cheryl came up beside me and I nodded. She unbottoned her blouse revealing her extra set of nipples. Every eye was on her. "Does she need to remove her bra?" I asked.291

There was a dramatic change in the Democrats. "You may come one at a time and examine her until you are satisfied, but let's not waste time. Raise your hands and I will call on you. You first Beverly."292

Beverly came and examined Cheryl closely, she handed me the paper with her name and number. It was a business card. She was a congresswoman, but was she an Arkanot?293

There were others who were curious, but after about 15 had come; they seemed satisfied she was real or at least deformed. The discussion was going to become serious now. Cheryl buttoned her blouse. There were many questions and we answered them as well as we could. I explained that my hope was for a peaceful union of the two species. Many thought I was crazy, but I already knew that. I was opposed to killing. 294

We left and drove around till I was certain we were not followed. Then we returned to the house. "Could you tell if Beverly is an Arkanot?" I asked.295

"No."296

"How many Arkanots are Republican do you suppose?" I questioned of Cheryl.297

"Maybe all of them, you may call yourself insane; but your reasoning is excellent. I think we have been focusing on the party in power, but that will change now," Cheryl said.298

"Let's hope we have enough of a head start. We are off to another city. A smaller one. This time, the Republicans," I told her. She could feel my excitement.299

"Republicans? Allow me to correct myself," she laughed. "You are completely off your rocker."300

301

"Need To Know"(Chapter 7)302

303

"There is an expression in America of which you are probably familiar, 'Need to know.' It is my firm belief that every citizen in the world needs to know and know as soon as possible. If we can do that, we might even be able to win," I explained304

"But if you tell the Republicans, you will definently alert the High Council. They could send more ships. They would destroy your planet before they would let you get away with that."305

"Cheryl, how long would it take for them to get here?"306

"It depends on how soon the nearest ships could arrive, probably a hundred years; but we have a ship already here orbiting."307

"Could it annihilate us by itself?"308

"I don't know," Cheryl answered.309

"I'll bet that the ship is not equipped for the failure of your normal colonization process. Besides, there are more Arkanots here than on the ship, are there not? Also you can read their thoughts."310

Cheryl smiled, "I believe I love you."311

We had rented a small two bedroom house in Austin. We were planning to attend a Republican meeting there. I believed the Arkanots would not anticipate that.312

Things were changing in Houston. The Arkanots Cheryl was able to identify were being neutralized. Removed from the positions of power and authority. Beverly Austin told me that the deputy mayor was now acting mayor of Houston and I believed her. The Democrats after all were the second strongest party in the country and might become number one as a result of the invasion. Was the president an Arkanot or a puppet?313

Beverly told me that the news of the invasion was spreading like wild fire among the Democrat party and they were getting off their butts and trying to do something about it. In the Congress and in the Senate the information had already spread among all the members, but they were trying to keep it from the public to avoid a panic. There was a bill just proposed for a mandatory test to see if a person was an Arkanot. Most in the houses did not believe in the invasion as yet, and it was too soon for me to risk having Cheryl go to Washington. She was my only sure ace.314

The Republican meeting was much the same but for one significant difference. There were Arkanots present. Cheryl knew immediately that there were at least two present, she told me later. They knew she was an Arkanot, but not that she was a traitor. Cheryl thought the game was up.315

I took the floor. One Arkanot was armed, but with a disruptor. He thought better than to draw his weapon because he might have to explain it and he didn't realize what I would announce. That Arkanot decided to play possom. He shut himself off telepathically, but not before Cheryl had found him. She was prepared to kill him without hesitation. This the Arkanot did not know.316

This crowd was better dressed and more affluent and we were received differently.317

"This is outrageous," said the other Arkanot who was still tuned in. He realized that Cheryl was with me, she explained later. Apparently he was trying to prevent me from exposing the invasion plans. He failed. After our demonstration, there were no complete disbelievers at the meeting. Our contact in Austin was a tall middle aged man named Jeffrey Jeffords. The war was definitely on now. Now the authorities would have our descriptions. Not good, but things were moving quickly. Cheryl and I both believed I was crazy, lucky, or both.318

Now both parties were alerted at the grass roots level as well as the top. Two major cities would be returned to human control. Was Jeffords an Arkanot? How many in the combined houses were Arkanots? I didn't think it mattered. The voice of the people is loud.319

320

The First Recruit?(Chapter 8)321

322

"In 14 days(six weeks Stagna 3 time) we have lost control of more than 100 American Cities. Key Arkanots in those cities have been removed from their positions of authority," said Lt. Commander Rinnicae.323

"I have alerted the High Council," replied Commander Echov. "More ships are on the way."324

"They cannot get here in time," said Rinnicae. "There will be world wide revolt soon. We must attack."325

"We are not in a position to acheive victory," stated Echov. "We would have to annihilate all life on the planet. It would not be habitable for at least 10 years and we would have to begin from nothing. It would mean a tremendous loss for Arkan. The High Council would execute us."326

They were communicating verbally. This shut them off from the telepathy of the whole.327

"How will we stop them?" asked Rinnicae.328

"At this point they are only identifying and removing us from key positions of leadership. Only a few thousand. We can protect our breeding colonies and continue with breeding. We can continue mixing in with the population of the planet. We will double in population every sixty days(six months). We have been mass producing neural disruptors. We should have a very well equiped army if there is time. We are already 12,000,000 strong, 5 million old enough to fight."329

"What about traitors, we know there is that female," asked Rinnicae. "There may be others."330

"I am sure there are others and will be more," said Commander Echov. "This concerns me greatly. We have never had this problem before."331

"What do you believe has caused the difference?"332

Echov answered, "I can only assume there is a flaw with the breeders. Fortunately it does not at this time seem wide spread. Although it is extremely unlikely, she may be the only one."333

"She must be eliminated."334

"I agree." said Echov.335

336

337

"Can you alert other like minded Arkanots to join us, if there are any," I asked Cheryl.338

"They are already aware, but they don't dare try to meet with me telepathically. They might be identified by the others."339

"They are looking for you," I said worried. "Ten million to one. I would never choose to bet those odds."340

"But you have. Besides there are over twelve million now. Fortunately a large number are too young to fight." said Cheryl.341

"Your population is growing that fast!" I exclaimed. "We have got to move faster."342

"How will we do that?" asked Cheryl.343

"We must convince Congresswoman Beverly Austin that the public must be made aware of the invasion. She is concerned that it would cause wide spread panic. There is no choice, but to take the chance."344

"She'll want to delay," returned Cheryl.345

"I know. We must also find and neutralize the breeding colonies."346

"Mine was a little suburb outside of Los Angeles. I can locate the other colonies, but they are almost completely inhabited by Arkanots who by now are well prepared and well armed. The mother ship will protect them, also."347

"Shit!" I understated. I still didn't want a blood bath.348

Using a cell phone while driving around in one of our cars I called Congresswoman Beverly Austin. I put her on speaker. We explained our feeling about the security blanket that was being enforced with the media and what we felt our next moves should be.349

"I disagree," she said flatly.350

"The only way we can avoid a war, is for the information to go world wide quickly," I said. "The Arkanots are better armed and spread all over. They have already increased in population by 20% since we started. We simply cannot wait any longer," I emphasized.351

There was a long silence.352

"Cheryl, what do you think?" Beverly asked finally.353

"I believe John is correct."354

"We still haven't passed mandatory testing," Beverly reminded them. "In spite of the fact we are now holding more than 500 Arkanots, there are still those in the senate and congress who do not believe that this is a hostile takeover. Many may be Arkanots themselves, but they are holding up the legislation. It will take time."355

"Time is something of which we have short supply," said Cheryl.356

After another long pause Beverly said, "I will do what I can."357

I called Jeffrey Jeffords and explained the situation to him.358

"What do you expect me to do?" he asked.359

"Act," said Cheryl firmly.360

After a minute or so of silence I asked, "Are you there?"361

"Do you really believe there can be peace with the Arkanots?" asked Jeffords.362

"Only if we move quickly," I said.363

"Things are moving quickly," said Jeffords.364

"Not nearly quick enough," I said angrily.365

Jeffords had a tough decision to make which I was soon to understand. After another long pause he said, "I am an Arkanot. One from another planet we have conquered and a part of our ground leadership. Lt. Niama."366

Now I was stunned. There was another long silence. I had considered that possibility, but hearing it was quite frightening, though it made little difference.367

"Are you with us or against us?" I asked finally. I wanted to know if he was prepared to betray his people. I also wondered if it was possible to trust him.368

"With you." he answered almost too quickly.369

"Why?" asked Cheryl.370

"I see no reason why it isn't possible for us to live together. I do not mean to say that I believe your efforts will work, but you have convinced me it is worth the attempt," responded Jeffords.371

'Thank God' I thought. Cheryl wasn't satisfied.372

We concluded our conversation and drove home. We had rented a small house in Buffalo, NY. We planned to attend the Chamber of Commerce meeting which is a trade organization with our little show and then move on. We had decided that NYC was too large to be safe at this time. Major media companies would probably not run the story until censorship from the government was lifted. I felt it was time to focus on business leaders. The men who held the money. I remembered, "'The god of this world is money,' according to Paul."373

"'In God We Trust', Bullshit!!", I exclaimed suddenly. "It is money we rely on."374

"What do you mean?" asked Cheryl surprised be my unexpected outburst.375

"Printed on our money is the phrase 'In God We Trust', but we don't. We hardly think about God, it is money we trust." 376

I spoke to the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce and things began to speed up.377

Cheryl and I had been sleeping together since the first night nearly eight weeks ago. Although we kissed and cuddled, we had never made love. It just hadn't seemed the time for that, though I realized now that I did love her. Somehow as the danger for her life seemed to be increasing, I felt a need for the closeness taking her physically would bring, or maybe I was just horny. A sure sign that not only was I crazy, but I was also emotionally confused.378

As I touched her she looked into my eyes and understood what I wanted.379

"Are you certain," she asked.380

We kissed and I caressed her breasts. That is the two on top. This I had done many times and I had played a little with her lower nipples. She wrapped her arms around my waist. We kissed for many minutes and then I removed my underwear. After some hesitation she took off her panties. I laid on top of her and we kissed some more. She did not seem eager, but she was fully responsive. I became hard.381

"Guide me in," I said and I slid myself inside her. As well as memory serves me, it felt much the same as it had with women I had known before; except I loved her more than the others. It was her first time and gently I made love to her. The softness and warmth of her flesh and our bodies joining was delightful for me and I believe for her. We kissed and cuddled for about an hour after we had finished with the coitus.382

"I love you," I said.383

"What if I get pregnant?" she asked very concerned.384

"It may not matter. We may not live long enough for you to have a child," I said seriously.385

Cheryl was silent, but began to cry.386

"We may win!" I reminded her.387

We cuddled for a while and then slept. When we woke, I asked, "How would you like to go to Illinois next?"388

389

The Arrest(Chapter 9)390

391

There was a knock at the door. I looked through the peep hole. There were two police officers dressed in dark blue uniforms. They were of about the same build with dark hair.392

"Get the disruptors," I said to Cheryl.393

I saw no choice but to answer the door. If they knew we were home, they would call for backup if we did not come to the door. I put the disrupter in my pocket.394

"Hi there, may I help you," I said.395

"Please step outside," said the officer named Maxwell. Their names were labeled on their uniforms.396

"You, too, Miss. What's that in your hand."397

"A cell phone," lied Cheryl.398

"Hand it here," said Maxwell.399

The other officer let Maxwell do all the talking. "We need you to come with us." There were two squad cars. They led us to the closest one.400

"Are we under arrest?" Cheryl asked.401

"Not if you come voluntarily."402

We got in the back of the car. The officers went to the other car and the other office got inside. We watched as Maxwell pointed the disruptor and the other officer slumped into the seat. Maxwell got into the squad car we were in. I knew we were locked inside and I knew he had just killed his fellow officer. If I killed him we might not be able to get out of the car. I asked, "Where are you taking us?"403

"No place."404

I reached for my disruptor.405

He got out of the car in a moment and opened the back door. "I will give you only a ten minute start and then I will have to report that you have escaped."406

My God! I was shaky. "You're an Arkanot."407

"Yes, but I can't help you more than that. Now you will be wanted for murdering a police officer. You must switch cars quickly." He returned the disruptor. 408

Cheryl went inside and got our other disruptor and then we left. 409

"Stop at the first used car dealership you see. We are going to make a trade." I said. I didn't think we had a chance in hell without a car.410

We got to Ohio after a day and night of hard driving. We contacted Congresswoman Beverly Austin and she wired us money. We managed to get new IDs. We dyed our hair blonde. 411

There were three breeding colonies in the United States and Cheryl managed to locate them through telepathy. She wasn't close enough apparently to the other breeding colonies to determine their whereabouts. However, three now were known. The big question was how to stop the breeding, and whether the Senate and Congress were ready to act and whether the president would go along. He must be either an Arkanot or a puppet.412

413

414

"They have isolated the breeding colonies in America," said Lt. Commander Rinnicae. "They are allowing no one in or out. Soon they will isolate all the colonies. We should have attacked."415

"We could not have won," said Commander Echov. "We'll continue the breeding and increase our armanents in the colonies. We can threaten to destroy ten cities for every one of ours they attack. I believe this will create a stalemate. We can also threaten global destruction if they eliminate all of our colonies. I guess it may come to that."416

"If we attack now," argued Rinnicae. "The surviving Arkanots can mix in with the populace of the planet." 417

"Yes, but the outcome would be the same," returned Echov. "We would be defeated. There would be world wide revolt and they would hunt us down to the last. We would have no choice but to destroy all life on the planet."418

"I have given orders to the other colonies," continued Echov. "To immediately disperse among the populace with the exception of enough Arkanots to protect and maintain the breeders. We should be able to hold the colonies and better prepare for the battle when it begins. In the meantime our numbers will continue to grow. I don't know how long we can hold off a fight, but for now it is in our best interests, I feel, to do so."419

"I must inform you that I have told the High Council of your foolishness and requested to be put in command," stated Rinnicae.420

"I know," said Echov simply.421

Lt. Nehika came into the room and stood at attention. "Reporting as ordered," he said crisply.422

"Nehika," commanded Echov. "You are to go to Stagna 3 and report to Niama(Jeffords). You will be our spokesman to the Americans. Niama will translate for you until you are able to learn the language. Theirs is the dominating government on the planet and through them we should be able to communicate our demands to all the nations of Stagna 3. You will leave at once."423

424

425

Cheryl and I were in Arizona. We planned to do our dog and pony show for the state house commitee on alien affairs. Of course the aliens that concerned them were Mexicans primarily, but it had the kind of irony I liked. We planned to meet with its leader who happened to be a Democrat. The chances, therefore; were very good she was not an Arkanot. The advantage I had was that the Arkanots had no idea how I thought. They had almost caught us in New York, but I was still crazy and still moving on.426

It had been a month and finally a bill had passed that allowed authorities to examine an individual to see if that individual was an Arkanot and require them to register. There had to be reason to suspect them, but that was a pretty good start. The president had ordered the national guard to surround the Arkanot breeding colonies in America, but I knew we were too late to stop the infiltration of Arkanots from the other colonies. The other nations of the world were coming along, but it was still too slow. The House and Senate still refused to lift the media ban. Most of the public were completely unaware of the invasion. The National Enquirer had run the story, but most people would not take it seriously. As there was no blood shed, so far; the government felt this could be dealt with without the knowledge of the public. It was highly classified. I was trying to change that. The prevailing opinion in the House and Senate was that this was not a hostile takeover. They found it difficult to accept that the Arkanots intended to use us only as breeders and a food source.427

"How are things in Washington?" I asked Congresswoman Beverly Austin. She was now heading the committee on the alien invasion. The information there would remain in the commitee until it was decided by them to release it to the Congress. Beverly was doing all she could to make that happen quickly. The Congress itself was restricting the information the commitee released from the public.428

"Better, I think," she answered.429

Cheryl and I were driving in the car using our cell phone. We had Beverly on speaker.430

"I hate to ask what you have planned," said Beverly and you could hear the smile in her voice.431

"We are going to look at the Grand Canyon," Cheryl said and Beverly and I both laughed.432

"I think we may be leaving the country soon," I told Beverly.433

"Do you think it wise?" Beverly asked.434

"When everything you do might be a mistake, does it matter?" I replied. "Besides, we have federal funding now. That's good, but you haven't got us off the FBI's ten most wanted. Have you?"435

"No, everybody wants you. It is still too early for you to come to Washington. You have been right about that," Beverly conceded.436

"I would really like to see DC," said Cheryl.437

"I'd like nothing better than to show you around," offered Beverly. "but we all know that is impossible. There are too many Arkanots here and they want your blood."438

"How many defectors now?" I asked.439

"About a 1,000 who profess to be, but none that I am certain of," Beverly responded. "I think we have identified most of the Arkanots in the House and Senate, but since they have stopped using telepathy on earth. It is really hard to know."440

"Everybody in government should be tested immediately," I said fervidly.441

"I agree, but you know it won't happen for a while."442

"How's the campaign?" I asked. At my insistance and against Beverly and Cheryl's wishes, Jeffords was running for a seat in the senate. He was strong in the Republican Party and had a lot of support in his state. He also was receiving Democratic support though this was known to few. I figured that whether he was for or against us, he was a valuable asset. We knew who he was, and he had to at least pretend to be on our side. For some reason, I trusted him. It would give more power to our side and create more confidence for him with the Arkanots if he was betraying them. I didn't realize how well it was working.443

I called Jeffords and put him on conference. "Beverly is on line with us," I said.444

"Commander Echov is sending Lt. Nehika down to be liaison with America," said Jeffrey Jeffords immediately. "I am to act as translator until he can speak for himself. He is bringing demands."445

"Do you know what he is going to request?" I asked not wanting to know.446

"No, but it won't be good."447

"Do you think they will attack?" asked Cheryl.448

"Strangely, I can't guess," said Jeffrey. "If they were going to attack, it doesn't seem that Nehika would be coming to talk."449

"Remember Pearl Harbor," I reminded. "And the Trojan horse?"450

"I agree, this is not good news," said Beverly. "But I am glad you told us."451

"Nehika will be addressing your commitee," said Jeffrey. "I suspect that they are prepared to attack. The Arkanots are using conventional communication now instead of telepathy on Earth and the ship is out of telepathic range. We will continue using radio to communicate with the mother ship. The situation is critical."452

"The ship will be coming into closer orbit," continued Jeffrey. "I believe it has the capacity to destroy life on Earth. Commander Echov is wise, we cannot underestimate him."453

"Then why talk?" asked Cheryl before I could ask the same question.454

"The only thing I can guess is that he does not intend to destroy life on this planet, as yet. I frankly don't see an alternative, but if he does destroy life on Earth; his mission becomes a failure. The High Council does not approve of failure.455

"So he is buying time for himself?" I asked.456

"No. He is trying to complete his mission."457

Cheryl and I went home and made love, but we were not deeply into it. Our minds were elsewhere.458

Telling The World(Chapter 10)460

461

"President Shrub has agreed to announce to the American People within thirty days the invasion of the Arkanots," said Congresswoman Beverly Austin. "His plan is to annouce it in conjunction with the other nations of the world on Thursday November 17th at 10am EST. All identified Arkanots will be required to register."462

"It's about time," I said. We were in Europe spreading the word as quickly as we could. 463

"Our ambassador to the United Nations has already persuaded the Security Council to bring it before the whole body next week," continued Beverly. "Nehika has made the demands of Commander Echov known and there will be no other restrictions placed on the Arkanots dwelling on earth, except for the breeding colonies which we believe have all been located and contained, the registered Arkanots will be allowed to come and go as they please. That is provided they follow the laws."464

"So they will continue breeding," I said frustrated.465

"Echov has threatened to destroy ten cities for every one Arkanot colony we harm, but the colonists at this time will not be allowed to leave their cities," Beverly assured us.466

"In a hundred years if we cannot come to peace with the Arkanots, more ships will arrive and the population of Arkanots may be in the billions on earth," I said. "Ultimately they will still takeover the planet. It seems there may be nothing we can do to change the final outcome. Jeffords says they have the ability to destroy all life on the planet. I guess Echov has decided that is unnecessary."467

I had a notion coming to mind.468

"Are we still wanted in the United States?" Cheryl asked.469

"Theorectically you are not wanted by the authorities, but it probably won't be safe for you until after the announcement."470

"We will be coming back soon," I said.471

"One of these days your luck will run out," said Beverly cautioning me.472

"How many defectors are there now?" I questioned.473

"In the United States, there are about 1,000 who claim to be siding with us. Almost all of these Arkanots were born here."474

"Can you arrange for Jeffords, Cheryl and I to talk with all or most of them?" 475

"I'll see what I can do. Registered Arkanots are under close watch, even the defectors."476

"I've been keeping my eye on one for several months now," I said smiling. Cheryl smiled and Beverly laughed.477

"I don't even want to know about it," laughed Beverly.478

I called Jeffords and explained part of my idea to him. "We will have wait until after the announcement," I said.479

The announcement did come and we scheduled the meeting. About 1,200 Arkanots were present. After the announcement of the invasion, there had been more defections. Cheryl and I were now relatively safe on our planet and most of the Arkanots were being identified and registered, with the exception of those in the breeding colonies. Cheryl was the most trusted of the Arkanot defectors, but I insisted that we look after our own safety with the aid of the federal government and Beverly. Only Jeffords, Beverly, Cheryl, and myself knew that we would be in attendence. The Arkanot defectors understood it to be somekind of orientation.480

I decided that the appeal of our world to the defectors was the structure of the social orders of humans. The family units, marriage, etc. I didn't know that I was right. It was only a guess. I am not sure even the defectors knew why they joined our side. I knew that some, perhaps even many; might in reality be double agents; but I intended to treat them all as though they were loyal. We had four wireless microphones so we could take questions from the audience. We met in Denver, Colorado.481

I began, "Those of you who are here have chosen to give your support to bringing a peaceful resolution to the conflict between our peoples. It is within your power to persuade other Arkanots to do the same. We need from you the same commitment you had before for the takeover for this new endeavor. Our modern world has been becoming a multinational unified world, lending itself to a brotherhood of nations. The Arkanots need to join as a nation within this structure if we are all to survive. 482

"We need you to persuade other Arkanots to support the goal of peaceful unity and challenge your people to share in this goal of making this a unified world of differing races, cultures, and beliefs as it is now. We must not allow it to fall under the control of the Arkanot High Council.483

"If we stand against the High Council," said an Arkanot. "They will be forced to destroy us."484

"You have already accepted that risk," I said. "But with your added technology we can prepare a defense."485

A different Arkanot said, "While we no longer feel a part of the invasion force, what guarantees do we have that we won't be executed by you humans? We no longer have a people."486

"You have bravely crossed a line to help us defend against the invasion," I answered. "You all knew in so doing you were risking your lives. There are no real guarantees. The only guarantee is success. If we fail, everything on the planet may perish. This is your home and your lives as well as ours.487

"Apparently the mothership has decided to wait until the takeover occurs through the sheer process of numbers. We must take over the breeding colonies, and only you can do that. It is my belief that there are many more Arkanots who oppose the enslavement of humanity."488

"Yes, there are many," stated an Arkanot. "The individual freedom of the cultures on your planet appeals to a great number of us, I believe; but they are not ready to stand against the High Council."489

"I suggest that we begin with the colony near Las Vegas," I stated. "There are an estimated 50,000 Arkanots there and over two thousand breeders." 490

"How do you proposed we do that?" asked one.491

"We tell them we want to come and then go right up to the city," I responded. "Not to fight, but to talk."492

I didn't know if insanity ran deeply in my family, but it probably ran deep in myself. Jeffords explained the strategy, or the lack of it, to the Arkanots. We planned to go peacefully into the Arkanot colony near Las Vegas in three days.493

Three days later, unarmed, myself and nearly 1,200 Arkanots waited at the edge of the breeding colony in a parade of vehicles. Going in three person teams, we were simply going to go door to door and talk, like adults with a very serious problem. It really couldn't be much more serious. There was the chance that both sides would start firing at each other, but the National Guard was under orders not to fire unless fired upon. We hoped the Arkanots felt the same. It would be an awful shame to have made it this far only to get killed now. I had forced Cheryl to stay at home and made her promise to continue the fight for a peaceful resolution should I be killed. Her eyes were moist, but she didn't cry so I could see.494

Jeffords was present at the edge of the city, but would remain there in charge if something went wrong.495

The Arkanots of the colony did not resort to a fight. They listened. It was hard gage their response or their belief in the matter, but they listened. There were no casualties. I considered it a success. We weren't allowed to see the breeders, but it didn't matter. We talked about peace with nearly 50,000 Arkanots. I told Beverly to take off the Guard and let the Arkanots there go freely in or out, provided they registered.496

497

498

"I had thought that this John Smith would no longer be a problem, but I see that I have underestimated him again. We must capture or kill him," said Commander Echov.499

"I have believed that all along, Commander," said Lt. Commander Rinnicae with an air of superiority. 500

"I am going to leave the assignment of catching Mr. Smith in your capable hands, Rinnicae," commanded Echov. "Dead or Alive. I would prefer an opportunity to speak with him. I would like to know how one human has undermined our whole operation."501

"They have gone to most of the breeding colonies now and spoke with our people in those colonies. They can't fire on us and we can't fire on them under your current orders," said Rinnicae. "I think you are making a grave mistake. There are too many traitors."502

"You have made yourself clear on several occassions, but the High Council has seen fit to leave me in command. "You'll follow my orders or pay the price," said Echov with great anger, nearly rage. "Now do as I have ordered. Get John Smith!"503

504

505

"There is an order to all Akanots to get you, dead or alive," said Jeffrey Jeffords, a tall thin Arkanot with graying hair.506

"Congratulations on your win in the Senate," I said.507

"Be serious, John."508

"I am. I prefer alive," I said.509

"They would probably torture you, and kill you when they are finished."510

"You don't paint, do you?" I asked.511

"What?" asked Jeffords.512

"I mean that you are painting a very ugly picture for me," I laughed. "Jeffrey, can I trust you?"513

514

This Is A Test, Only A Test(Chapter 11)515

516

"Commander Echov, I have John Smith," said Lt. Nehika over his transmitter.517

"Is he dead?"518

"No sir, he is alive," replied Nehika.519

"How was he captured?" asked Echov.520

"He came with Lt. Niama. Niama has been his contact with the Republican party."521

"It seems Niama has been key to both sides, he is to be commended," said Echov. "Does Smith know Niama is one of us?"522

"I wouldn't think so," said Nehika.523

524

525

A little more than a month had passed since we had talked with the breeding colonies. The colony near Las Vegas had released its breeders. Some were clones and had absolutely no education and special ed teachers were being brought in to help them back to speed. Most of them were pregnant with clones or Arkanots. The decision was to try to bring all the children to term.526

Cheryl said my idea was crazy. 527

"Dah?" I asked. "When was there any doubt?"528

"They will kill you," she was crying.529

"You will have to go on without me. We have had a month to prepare. We can't afford to wait," I insisted.530

"I'll never see you again," cried Cheryl.531

"I'll be back," I promised.532

We were finally in DC, but Cheryl didn't want to see the sites. 533

Congresswoman Beverly Austin said, "I'll look after her." We were in her office.534

Senator Jeffords asked, "Are you ready?"535

"No." I kissed Cheryl.536

Jeffords was staying on the planet. He escorted me to Nehika. A transporter beam is really interesting. It gave me a queasy feeling in my stomack and a light headed feeling like being drunk. Nehika went up with me, or which ever way we went. In an instant I was on the mother ship with Nehika. The walls were bare and the first thought I had was that they needed some pictures or paintings. Metallic gray were their color. The Commander's office was almost white. There was a large viewing screen. Earth was in the center of the screen. If someone had told me a year before that I would be in space looking down on Earth, I would have died laughing. At least, I would have never have believed it. It was hard to believe now.537

Commander Echov came into the room and Lt. Nehika stood at attention. Nehika translated. "I guess you have called this meeting," said Echov to me.538

"I hope you understand that I have come hoping to have a peaceful meeting with you," I said. "I know I am risking my life and I have no idea of the outcome, I can only hope."539

"You will not successfully take over planet Earth," I continued. "We have eliminated one breeding colony and we will have the others in time. The Arkanots on Earth will defect. If war comes, they will be killed. You may have the capacity to destroy the planet, but you seem to have decided that this is not the best course."540

"You really believe that we can live together peacefully on your planet and you are convincing the Arkanots on your planet. How do you do that?" asked Echov. "We came to enslave and destroy you and yet your people do not try to destoy us."541

"It is very tense and killing could break out at any time. So far both sides are obeying the commands from you and our governments," I responded. "I don't know if it will work, but the alternative is war or the complete annihilation of life on my planet. We have no choice but to try to live with you or die trying."542

"You were a nobody, and you have become the leader of a successful resistance; such as our people have never known," said Echov. "How have you done that?"543

"I am lucky, I just made all the right moves," I said.544

"Well, your luck is over now," said Echov.545

"Congresswoman Beverly Austin warned me of that not long ago, but you understand I had to try."546

"No, I don't think I understand you at all; but I am going to hold you for a while and try to understand you," said Echov.547

Well, I had figured that it might end there. I felt that I had done well. I would hate not seeing Cheryl again. I really loved her deeply. It was time for the test. At worst, I would die. At best it was uncertain. I figured it was likely I would be a prisoner for a while and then killed or spared.548

"Nehika, the time is now, which side are you on?" I asked. We had supposedly fifty Arkanots loyal to Earth on board the mother ship. Would they stand? Was it enough? I didn't know how many Arkanots were aboard. I didn't know how many were ours.549

Nehika still pointed his disrupter. There was an odd silence. Instead of pointing it at me, it was now pointed at Echov.550

551

552

Cheryl said to Beverly and Senator Jeffrey Jeffords, "John will never come back. I have lost him."553

"It was a tremendous risk, but they were trying to kill or capture him here. This may actually have been his best move. I don't know how he does it," said Jeffords amazed.554

"We have no choice, but to put our lives at risk if it is necessary," encouraged Beverly. "John has made the peaceful uniting of our peoples a likelihood. It will give humanity a hundred years to prepare for the next ship to arrive. It gives us the possibility to remain a free planet. John did this."555

"He has been right every step of the way so far," reminded Jeffords. "Maybe. Just maybe, he has made the right move again. In any case, it is either this or the total destruction of life on the planet. We had to try to take the ship and do it before it was anticipated."556

A month passed and there was no word from John. Nehika returned. Echov's orders for the planet were not changed. Cheryl was trying to accept her loss and focus on the struggle. They now had half of the breeders released. Half of the breeding colonies had been dissolved. John appeared to be gone.557

558

"Lt. Rinnicae, you will do as I instruct! One more instance of insolence on your part and you will be executed," said Echov.559

Continuing Echov said, "The High Council agrees that we lose too much if we annihilate the life on the planet as you are well aware. You talk with them most every day. It is within my authority to execute you for that and you know it. Why do you try my patience?"560

"Because you are wrong." spat out Rinnicae full of venom. "At least John Smith has been neutralized."561

"I am sorry that is necessary," commented Echov.562

563

Rinnicae Wants War(Chapter 12)564

565

Six months(Stagna 3 time) had passed. The breeders on the planet had been released and the aliens for the most part were now registered. Ominous still was the threat of the destruction of all life on Stagna 3. Rinnicae wanted war, but Commander Echov felt that war would be unproductive and pointless. He felt that waiting for more ships to arrive and determining the problem causing the revolt was more beneficial than fighting a pointless war. With the breeding now contained, there would be no way to win a war, now or in the future without totally eliminating life on the planet. Perhaps he was wrong, perhaps annihilation had been the solution all along.566

Arkanots who were true bloods as well as those born on Stagna 3 and elsewhere were joining the resistance against the High Council. Commander Echov had been out maneuvered.567

"Yes Sir," said senior researcher Occuban snapping to attention.568

"Release the breeders we have aboard. Return them to the planet," said Echov.569

Occuban was visibly surprised. "I will, Sir."570

Rinnicae helped to keep Echov focused in reality. That was important and that was why Commander Echov put up with his insolence. It was a part of the package with Rinnicae.571

Commander Echov laughed. He had been beaten by a human.572

573

574

"It looks like all we can do now is prepare for when more ships arrive in about a hundred years," said Congresswoman Beverly Austin. "By then perhaps we will have a defense."575

"Well, at least we have full control of the planet and one ship." Cheryl responded. "We ought to be on equal footing by then."576

"John will receive awards and the thanks of a grateful world."577

"That won't do him much good, now," said Cheryl flatly.578

"But it will look good on my resume," I said coming into the room from the outer office. "I seem to be out of work."579

"You're not dead!" exclaimed Cheryl, tears springing to her eyes. She hugged me tightly.580

"I am glad you noticed," I said laughing.581

"We hadn't heard anything," said Beverly.582

"Echov and I figured the only way to keep me alive and to make it work, was to hold me on the ship until everything had time to settle. Arkanots wanted me dead and many were ready to fight. We needed more time. It was a very long six months," I said.583

"How is the planet?" I asked. "It feels good to be home."584

"Almost all of the Arkanots have registered," said Beverly. "All of the breeding colonies have been closed, and it appears that peaceful unity will prevail. I don't know if we will be prepared when the Arkanot ships arrive or not, but for now, it looks very good. It appears that we can live as one united people."585

Driving to our rented home Cheryl asked, "What are we going to do now?"586

"I don't know. Take some time to ourselves. Right now I want to ravish you," I stated.587

"What am I, the only woman on earth?" she said laughing.588

"Cheryl, you are exactly that to me."589

"...German probably." Apparently this is during the time of Hitler?Or... I think you should relay this info beforehand, as is it sounds racist. Now I see the "It was January 1925, how about?: German probably. It was January 1925.

O.k. I lost track of which paragraph I'm on so you'll just have to recognize it: "The female here gave birth..." Would be better as: "This female gave birth..." I suggest going through and straighten out some of the sentence structure / wording. Otherwise = Awesome!
"It is thought to be a Stagnation city." = Unclear, how about?: It is disguised as a Stagnation city

4th para: (Stagna for our solar...from the sun) = This is awkward, I had no clue what it was saying at first and it took a bit to figure out, suggest you rework it

2nd para: "They were discussing the female specimen." Is unnecassary and pre-redundant, as what follows stands alone quite well.
    I like: "Neurological field".
    2nd half of 2nd para:Wow-Creepy!These guys are cold mo-fus!

The beginning (1st para) comes across very well,it has that cold, eerie scientific alien being thing going on...right away I don't want to get caught by them!
I like that you chose not to disclose right away that they are examining a human and what planet she is from, piques my interest, makes me wonder...also I like the names you use-creative, and the difference in time frames of their worlds-great

I don't know if its just me, but the line in 1st paragraph: "we can clone...and have over a hundred in ten years," is not written clearly, the "beginning with fifty..." part (?

This was amazing! I loved it! That's really all I can say about it.

However, I did find a few things...

~I suggest making it clearer in the beginning that the Stagnations are humans. I mean, I totally assumed they were, but not until it was actually stated was I made certain.

~Weapons at the Democratic meetings? I'm not familiar with the proceedings, but wouldn't there be checks for weapons?

    ~In paragraph 537: Stomack (stomach)

Again, I really loved this, and thank you for entering my contest!

    • Hi Sberendt!

I'm so very pleased that you like my story so much.

There might be weapons checks at some political meetings. A lot I would guess would depend on who was attending. The meetings I've attending had no weapons check, but the community is only 100,000 in population. I'll ponder that. If I rewrite it, I'll need a good way around that. The disruptors might be mistaken for cellphones.

If those were the only mistakes you found in this version of the story, that's better than I thought it was. It's hard to proof a long text.

      Thanks for hosting this contest.

Wow......... I mean WOW! What a great story. This is not what I expected at all. It has a good plot, it is easy to understand, and it is just great!

    Good luck in the contest!

    • Hi Arbiter!

I'm so pleased that you like this story. I intend to give it a rewrite someday. The Democrats are the party in control, now, and there are other things I could improve.

Thanks for hosting this contest and for reading and commenting. I appreciate it. May you have many good entries and much fun.

Whew, I'm half way through, only took me two days I may not finish the rest before the end of the contest but I will finish it. I like it and as someone else said before, has a distinct "V" feel to it.

I have many notes, too many to put here so I will IM you with them later.

    In the meantime good luck.

      Hi Toni!

I'm sorry to have put you through so much effort. I'm sure you are finding some mistakes that have already been repaired with the copy of this story in my list. I've been making the corrections there. I wasn't really expecting such a conscientious effort from you. I feel guilty for posting it.

If you want to read the version in the list, it's better edited, though longer. If you can't finish it before the contest ends, you might like that much better. The first two chapters are longer and the rest is better edited. There's also the first chapter of part two, though it hasn't been carefully edited.

I saw your contest as an opportunity to have it read, since you stated no word limit in the contest, but I didn't mean to cause undue pressure.

I really appreciate the time and effort you've spent on it, but you are welcome to abandon it if you like. I feel I've taken advantage of you.

    Chapters 9-11

    Fourth Comment- Chapter 9-11

I have to say, I'm not a big fan of Sci Fi fiction, but this story is actually good. Though I'm not pulled in every time I read it, I'm still compelled to finish. For me, that's simply because I'm hooked on Fantasy- but the fact that you've compelled a Fantasy reader to complete a few chapters of a sci fi novel is a very good thing.

Chapter Nine is still lagging with Dialog, but we're continuing to see the story develop. I was interested to see the relationship develop so quickly with Cheryl and John- 9 could use some more explanation- simply saying "We got to Ohio after a day and night" is kinda slim.
Some more information would do you well there in that section.

    CHapter ten-
Was interesting, I don't have anything to critique in that chapter. : )

    CHapter Eleven-
Well, what can I say about Chapter Eleven... it was gripping!! I was scared reading this last chapter! But at the same time it seems like the story has just flickered by, like there was no lag. lol. You want to keep to the point but you don't want to go straight through to the end. I think you're well on your way to completing this novel. I absolutley loved this story and I enjoyed it...most of the time. lol.
    Awesome job!

    Third Comment- CHapters 6-8

Here is your third comment- chapters 6-8

Well, at first glance I was pretty unamused but as the story went further I began to enjoy reading on. In chapter 6 there is a bit too much talking between Cheryl and the main character. I would like to see some more of his own thoughts, rather then the two talking about it to each other.

Chapter 6 was a bit too much to handle, you want to be careful when distinguishing political parties and such. In this case I was a bit offended at the hearing of republicans being easily moved over by Aliens and Democrats being the ones who would fight back. I understand where your coming from in the story, but the way you presented it was a bit rough. That part could use some smoothing out. The dialog in this chapter made it a bit less boring than it usually would be, but about now we should be seeing a little action. Some stuff should be happening in the democrat room or some odd things should be happening with republicans. Right now everything is just standing still. Think back to War Of The Worlds, this is that movie/book diluted. There's no urgency in this particular chapter and that makes it a bit bland.

The beginning of chapter 7 needs to be reworked. I sighed at the seeing of yet more dialog. The beginning would be better as the personal thoughts or as your main character telling the story himself for a bit. Dialog is good, but most of your book is dialog.
In the middle of chapter 7 we see progress, now we're starting to see the experiencing part of this story. We have now gained urgency, at least some. : )

CHapter 8- The beginning sentence in this chapter is odd. It should be "In THE LAST 14 days..."
Finally we hear our main characters name, we heard it once in the beginning of the story, but we haven't heard it since. This is the first time since the first chapter since we have heard his name. I beleive in that amount of time it would better if we heard his name a bit more. That would make the story more personal.

At the end it was disturbing to read about them sleeping with each other. I don't think it's right for the flow of the story to be hearing about them having sex in the middle of the story. It stopped the urgency and flow of the story. I would either take it out, or move it to another chapter. It distracts from the story and is a bit unmoving. I don't think it fits with this particular section.

On that last note I would have to say that the last few chapters have come up a bit short compared to the others. With some more work these last few chapters will be ready for publication.

Nice Job so far, am awaiting to read more.

The story is good but I felt that it dragged on a little too much. There is so much dialogue not really pertinent to the story to make it move in pace and it seemed a little dull. I'm really sorry because I know you put a lot of effort into making it a strong story but I'm only one opinion.

In regards to my couple contest, it fell short to what I was looking for. I know that tends to happen with prewrites but I was looking for more of an adventure type story between two lovers. Your story seemed a little too clinical and didn’t really concentrate on two particular characters. Thanks for entering.

Everybody finds fault with this story, but I like it. There are things I could do and things I have done. Too much change would probably ruin it. Anyway, I'm learning. I feel that dialogue usually speeds the pace of a story, but I get bored with a lot of detail. Anyway, thanks for hosting this contest and for reading and commenting. I hope you have many good entries and much fun.

I'm going to start off with a suggestion that has nothing to do with the story and everything to do with being on storywrite.com.

    Please, please split this up.

Now, that's ultimately up to you, but if I had stumbled across this on the site, I would have never stoppped to read it. When you're writing a book or novel, length is great. On an internet site, it's a death trap. So, I would just suggest splitting it up into chapters.

That being said (and I never thought I'd say that), I did like the idea.

The story needs to be run through a spell a check and read outloud to catch grammar errors. Another thing is that you tend to rely on dialogue very heavily; unless you're writing a ply, it's generally best if there is less dialogue than non-dialogue. Just something to think about.

Also, I wonder how realistic it is to expect someone to believe another person is an alien just because they have two extra nipples. There have been people (humans) born with that defect. I know that would change a major part of the story, but it is something to think about seriously.

You're on the right track, it just needs some work. But good job.

Thanks for hosting this contest and for reading and commenting. I appreciate it. Actually this is divided into chapters in my list.

There needed to be some way to distinguish the aliens from humans which was not readily apparent. Nipples seemed good. What would you suggest? People with four nipples are certainly not common, unless they are Arkanots.

    Second Comment- Chapters 3-5

Alright, your second comment is focused on the third through fifth chapters.

Okay, in the beginning this story really seemed to hit, then you begin to portray your character as a shallow person. He's a man who only goes out with a woman because he's interested in sex. And sex alone. I admire the fact that the story is written in first person, it's really difficult to write a story in first person.

As a sci-fi novel I don't know what I would say. I find it odd in some ways that the Arkanot let the main character go. Also, I thought that she revealed too much information to him. Granted, Alchohol will make your mind plastered, but even so I don't think she would reveal so much to him.
I would also consider lightening your terms such as "Tits" and other womanly parts. In the beginning you explain in full detail some things that, frankly made me blush the same was with this next section. Your putting all your focus on sex in this section instead of focusing on your story. Which is lingering.

You might want to either rework some sections or change some of your terms.
On the bright side, I love the humor in these last few chapters. The fifth chapter was very sweet and portrayed the characters well. I just don't think having so much sexual tension in the beginning is a good idea.

Good Job on the Second part, with a little rework this section could be awesome. Here are your current scores for the second part of your story.

    Flow-7
    Creativity-7
    Detail-8
Character Depth- At first blush- 5
    Imagination- 10
    Originality- 9

    Current Score- 46

Thanks for reading and commenting. I appreciate it. I'm glad you like the humor in this story. I tried to incorporate that throughout. You have made it through the sex parts, the rest is devoted to the struggle between the Arkanots and humans. I hope you will like it.

    FIrst Comment- Chapters 1-3

Alright, this is your first comment which will be focused on your first three chapters.

Okay, good stuff- from the first sentence I read, I was hooked. I had to read on, but as I hit chapter two I started to pull away. It was tiring reading on and on about these guys impregnating her. We heard it several times, and it was often repeated in two or three lines. By the third chapter we were back on track.

Good job on the first Part, here are your current scores for the first part of your story. ( They will be added as a whole when I finish reading your novel)

    Flow- 7
    Creativity- 10
    Detail- 6
Character Depth- Not included in first comment
    Imagination- 10
    Originality- 9

    Current Score- ( 42 )

Expect your Second Comment within the next week or two. : )

    ***I remember reading this before.

"Quite resilient. She could be made fertile again within a day to a week."

***If this is a human female who has just delivered a baby, she won’t be able to conceive again for at least 4 - 6 weeks after giving birth, and for many women, it is even longer.

She hadn't realized she was pregnant until she had gone into labor,

***She should have felt the movement of the baby from around 5 months on. If she can feel the labor, logically, she should be able to feel the baby move too.

***I like that you have written in some of the thoughts that the woman is having. They feel natural as I read through. I don’t know how many chapters of this story you have written. There are places that it feels as though you have rushed the story. The last three paragraphs before chapter two is one of the places I believe you need to slow down the pace of the story. Those three paragraphs are all “told” instead of “shown.”

She felt the cold metal inside her as it expelled a warm liquid and then vacuumed it out of her uterus. The liquid passed inside her uterus through her cervix, and then was vacuumed back into the probe collecting some of her eggs.

***If this woman is from 1925, this level of technology is far beyond her level of comprehension. She is not going to understand that they are collecting eggs. She should not know that eggs can be collected.

***The story is better than I remember. I think attention to some of the smaller details will be a bigger pay off for you in the end.

It really begins to pick up in chapter three when it becomes present day. The first two chapters were expanded considerably since you read them.

I'll change the time on when she can be made fertile again. She has no sensation in her body while she is in the suspension tube, hence she felt nothing prior to delivering.

She doesn't comprehend the technology. I'll have to read over that. It is not suppose to imply that she does.

Thanks very much for reading and commenting.

Shades of ‘V’ one of my favorite shows. I like the way you handle the Alien invasion, the idea that Lizards and humans would breed always made me queasy. And I think is what finally did the show in. Your humanoid Arkanoid mammals rings truer. While the story holds it own and is fast paced, clearly written with interesting characters I would love to have the opportunity to read more. (Like a 400 page novel). But that’s just me, when I get engrossed in a story I hate to see it end.
You controlled the chapters nicely so by moving back and forth between the plane and the planet the reader was kept informed. The action scenes are visible, the dialogue smooth.
You added the bits of humor at the just the right places; mostly in dialogue, so they got their laugh without turning off the scare.
I don't know how much this space will take so I sent the corrections as a message,

I really appreciate you reading this story and taking the time to point out the mistakes you found. I copied and printed the mistakes and I will make the corrections soon. I'm glad this was a story you hated to see end. I have plans to carry it into two more generations, but it is difficult to develop the new characters and further develop the plot.

I think the length of a comment is indefinite, but what you did about the corrections worked well. Thanks for reading, commenting, and all the applause.

Chapter 3 first paragraph, it seems you intended "peace" rather than "piece". That was the only typo I noticed.
