I used to think that sleeping alone was therapeutic. That when you sleep alone, your subconscious has a chance to recover from any poison the outside world has thrown at it. Or even just a chance to catch a break from the negative influences you tend to attract, even from those who love.
I must admit, you changed my mind. Not in the first instant I saw you, not even in the first week. It wasn’t one of those “love at first sight” clichés either, was it? You were breaking, or maybe even broken, and the first time I saw you, you looked as if you had the world on your shoulders.
I hope you’ve changed your mind too. I know you grew up too fast, and I know it was hard to learn to trust me, but you taught me to trust myself and I’m glad you did. I hope I helped to fix you too.
So back to the bit about sleeping alone…Alone sucks. Now I drift away in your arms, lost in a place that I didn’t know existed. That’s ok though, I like this place, and would willingly waste my time in it. You told me, that fairytales don’t always have a happy ending do they? I think you were right, because fairytales like ours don’t end. I love you.
