No...I didn't know that the Styx was a river, lol, or that it's in Greek mythology! (guess I'm showing my ignorance some. haha. But I haven't read much mythology, and suck at geography!)
Now I know! Learn something new every day right? heh. I'll admit, at first...with the way it's spelled, I was thinking of the BAND Styx...hahaha, so it didn't make much sense to me! LMAO
But now that I know...wow. Very nicely written. I liked the artistic approach you take with this prompt. I REALLY liked this bit:

I actually just put the "as I'm sure everyone knows" part 'cause I was worried someone would think I sounded pompous slipping that little fact in there...I didn't expect most folks to know. We read Ovid in English this year, so I'm squared away, lol. (It's not even an existing river, I don't think.) -

haha...well GOOD then! Makes me feel a lil better! hahaha...Lord knows I didn't learn as much in school as maybe I shoulda thanks to the crappy schools in AK where I grew up, so when things like this pop up, I always feel utterly clueless. heh.
