Famine

Her breasts,
with fluid sustenance flowed from rosy peak to waiting mouth.

Then, nothing.

No more milk.

Goodbye, Baby.
Goodbye.

Author notes

Breast feeding a baby is neither disgusting, nor erotic.

As I learned in class, when famine strikes, mother's milk is first to go. Starvation is a horrible thing, especially when it causes a woman's body to betray her and shut down the one source of life that her baby depends on. ...Ugh. I'm thinking too much about this. Now I'm depressed. This shit actually is happening right now, in Darfur, amongst other places. *depression*
