Love Burns Hot

Can we speak,
From our mouths,
In the valley of the hounds?

Can’t you see?
Can’t you see?
It can never always be.

Because it’s gone,
Now we’re gone,
Now nobody is forlorn.

Can we speak,
From our mouths?
Love is the valley of the hounds.

Can’t you see?
Can’t you see?
Love can never always be.

Because it’s gone,
Now we’re gone,
Now nobody is forlorn.

Love is like this,
So sit there and watch and learn,
So sit there and watch me burn.

Watch me burn,
watch me rot,
Love burns Hot.

Author notes

I think my first go at an abstract poem about love itself.

Wonderfully written. I liked its flow, the wording and the formation of the words. The repitition is wonderful with this poems with such strong words with a whole heap of meaning behind them.

Keep up the great work and i'm really glad I got to read this.

    Wonderful again
