The Last Summer Part I

Anna was born at the Belair Hospital in Memphis.. Her father was a science professor and his mother was a dentist. Anna did not have any siblings so she got all the attention from her relatives.. By the age of 2yrs Anna could speak fluent English.. She was a very smart baby.. At three and a half Anna began to go to nursery.. She was not very social and enjoyed sitting and playing on her own.. She had a very good life, lovely parents and good family support.. Now she also had a few friends..

But when Anna was four years old she was diagnosed with mild cancer. As every month went by she grew weaker and weaker.. Her hair fell of due to the chemotherapy.. Anna could never go out to play like the other children. She had to stop going to school and stay at the hospital for long periods of time. This made her a very sad,lonely young girl. By the age of six her parents thought it was all over.. But what they did not know was this was just the begining of it..

A few weeks later Anna was released from the hospital.. She had missed out on quite a few years of education. But this did not stop her Anna wanted to coninue studying like all the other children. So when Anna was 8yrs old she began going to St.Adam's School for girls. By the second week of school she had made herself a new friend. Jamie was a year younger than Anna but the two of them were inseparable.. They spent every other night at each other's houses.. Anna finally had someone to talk to and share secrets with.. Soon Anna had a whole new group of friends. She was a top student in the class and very good at sports..

Anna had her life back this made her very satisfied.. She was glad to go back to school and get on with her life.. Even though she had missed out a few years in between Anna was doing quite well.. Her visits to the hospital were much less.. Jamie and Anna was still the best of friends even though they went to different schools.. Anna was now a happy girl with friends and family..
