3 Moons

Opal slowly climbed up the rocky face of Hill Guakanamo. "Hill" was more of an understatement. Her white hair swirled around in the cold mountain air. A Quakbat screeched and circled around her, and she hastily took out a black and gold fan and blew it away. She slowly began heading up again.

She cursed, what kid would go with strangers? Especially ones that knew about her power.

At last she reached the top, and the end of her perilous journey North.

She blinked her brown eyes and looked at her surroundings.

There were several different alters, all with glowing sun stones and shining moon stones. Different rock houses were scattered around and a large building, far grander then the others, towered over the small village.

Opal decided to head for the giant building, seeing as it would be the most obvious place to hide her sister.

She tried the door but had no luck, it was locked. She slowly stood back and took out one of her fans and aimed a burst of air at the oak doors.

"Wind Striker!" She shouted and immediately the burst of wind turned a purple color and the oak door fell with a loud THUMP.

She walked inside the building and found many different doors branched off of the hallway she was standing in, luckily there were signs next to the doors.

Opal took the first door on the left and opened it.

She found inside a large table with different test tubes laid out upon it and a machine with a small water stone giving off a blue light.

She looked to the right and found her sister huddled in a corner in fear, her face hidden by the pink sleeves of her kimono and her deep purple hair.

Opal made her way to the two workers in the room and drew out her trusted fans but this time made small blades come off the end, which was giving off a bitter acrid smell.

She put the blades to the men's throats and they stopped talking immediately.

"Don't move an inch or these will slice and burn you," She said.

Opal suddenly heard a scuttle and a slight breeze ruffled her black kimono.

"Well well, the great wind breaker has come at last," A voice mocked behind her.

Opal sliced the men's throats then faced her new opponent.

"Oh dear brother, why oh why did you take Koino?" She asked sarcastically, her voice an octave higher than her usual tones.

The girl hiding in the corner now looked up and saw Opal.

"Opal!" She called, her blue eyes shining.

The boy glanced at Koino. "Yes Koino, your dear sister has come at last, supposedly trying to stop me from gaining the power embedded in your flesh."

Irritation flashed in Opal's eyes and she took out more blades on her fan and began slashing at the boy.

"Shut up, get off your fat ass and fight me like a man!" She called as she aimed a blow to his head.

The boy looked back at Opal and dodged her blows, then slid blades out of the gloves he was wearing and deflected Opal's blows.

Opal sent the poisoned blades shooting out of the fan and replaced them.

The boy blocked them and aimed a hit at Opal's arm, which would have made contact had there not been a very powerful wind suddenly gushing throughout the room.

Opal and the boy turned to Koino only to see her whole body was crystallized and she constantly made large bursts of air shoot out from her arms.

"What the hell?" The boy called. "She's not supposed to be able to control it that fast!"

Opal silently agreed with her brother, Josef, her white hair swirling around her.

"Well it's time for me to bail!" Josef called as he headed for the door.

"You coward!" Opal hollered at him.

She slowly began making her way to Koino.

Finally she made it to the point where she was right beside her. Opal slowly stepped forward and hugged Koino.

"Stop Koino!" She called to her little sister.

Finally the wind dispersed and Koino blinked a few times before blacking out completely.

The crystal growing on Koino had disappeared and Opal slowly made her way out to the small village.

She went to a small rock house with Koino beside her, her eyes closed, and knocked on the wooden door a few times.

The door opened and a wizened old woman answered.

"Can I help you?" She asked.

Opal looked at the old lady. "May we stay here overnight? My sister is exhausted."

The old woman looked at the little girl in Opal's hands and looked back at Opal.

"Of course you may, what a cute little sister you have. I couldn't say no!" She said.

Opal breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you very much," She said.

The old woman slowly retreated back into her house with Opal following her.

"This is your bed for tonight," She said, pointing at a small bed with leather blankets and pillows.

"Thanks again," Opal said gratefully and laid her sister down on the bed and sank into a chair and slowly drifted off into a deep sleep herself.

Hi, there is a check box when you post that says "fix line spacing" if you chose it, it will fix the spacing on your paragraphs and on your dialog.

This was like reading a cartoon on paper...it was full of action and interesting throughout...

the only detail that was strange was "leather" blankets in Asia?
