Lips of a Child

Mother is the name of god on the lips of every child,
yet all the cries cannot be silenced,
for not all the love in the world can keep children from dying,
still all purity lies in the heart,

her purity
her purity
her beauty
her beauty

she is of nothing that i have seen before
if she leaves then i'll be lost forever more
lost within her eyes of winter
as dusk falls below

this hell of mine is nothing
compared to her love

she gives the world a different view
on how to live and die
we know there is nothing that can
ever let us know why

purity, beauty
cure of sickness
curse of the forgotten

as a child she died
ascendancy lied
hope all cried
for until she was dead
christ was defied

darkened with pleasure
she raped goodness from souls
killing the hatred
that comes with us all

born to father of despair
given to the mother of deaths embrace

This was very interesting. Not sure what to say that'd be helpful or useful because I'm not used to reading these types of writings but I really do think it was good. The idea was very nice and worked well with your words. I liked it, good job

Wow. I was touched by this. I like how you've rhymed it, and the thought process behind it is stunning. The repetition was used very well, I think, and it reminded me of a song (sort of....). This was very well written. Great Job.

I loved that quote in the Crow and I loved this poem. The repetition of purity and beauty really drives home the power and feeling behind the words, and it is very eloquently voiced. I am enjoying your work so far. Keep it up!
