The cold dark night was blinding him as Jason ran down the cold dark alleys as fast as he could. His figure was somewhat of a distortion of what it use to be. His long dirty blonde hair had become a straight black, his skin was paler than a ghosts, his eyes cyrus's had become a blood red. Jason was sure in a hurry to get wherever it was he going, his long black trench coat lifting with the wind behind him. The city lights were out and the only light that could be seen was coming from the mountains. The sun was beginning to rise. Jason had to get to a sewer or a dark building as fast as he could. His paths had led him to a graveyard. It was a sad sight for anyone else. The fence had been overtaken by rust, the graves were tilting and some had been tipped and vandalized. Statues of angels stood with looks on their faces that could make your blood run cold. Still, Jason had to find somewhere to hide from the cursed light of the sun. He hopped the gate and made his way through the graveyard. He had to find somewhere fast. It was no longer black as the crows outside, but a robin-egg blue. Quickly, he searched all around for somewhere to hide. The statues of angels were glaring down at him for the hell beast that he was. He knew he was about to burn in the sunlight. He closed his eyes and fell to his knees. "I'm sorry Jasmin..." were to be his final words before he was taken by the gods.1
Suddenly, he heard a clatter from behind him. He looked to see what it was and there it was! A stone standing mausoleum which seemed to be the perfect place to stay. He ran as fast as he could toward this stone cold haven that would protect his flesh from the burning cruelties of the burning globe known as the sun. With great haste, he leaped at the doors as the sun began to rise over the hills. The doors wouldn't budge. He tried to jerk them as hard as he could. The sun was already starting to burn his skin. He started to scream as he jerked and shook the handles of this fort. His hands were steaming from the light for they were the only parts of him revealed. His face was hidden behind his hair. He took a few steps back and thrust his foot at the door, opening it with a loud "BROK!" as it banged off the walls. He pushed himself to fall to the floor of the chamber and closed the door with his foot. 2
Inside this cold dark tomb were two coffins. The first was pressed up against the wall, almost as if moved out of the way. The second had been taken from it's stand and set aside in the corner. The rest of the coffins were still in the walls. He looked up to see a light coming from the wall at his side. A hole had been made in this wall in the shape of a crucifix. He felt the sun's light burn his hand for it was in the shadow of light cast from the hole. He whipped his arm back to keep himself from burning. He stumbled back and fell down, landing against the walls of the tomb. He rubbed his hand softly. Suddenly, his hand ran across a scar on the back of his hand. He looked down upon it and let out a soft sigh...3
"Jasmin...I'm so sorry..." 4
"You should be!" he heard a woman's voice scream. He shot up suddenly. He looked all around the tomb, certain it came from inside the chamber. Being inside a tomb and hearing someone's voice when you're alone...Not a comforting thought. "Who is that!?!" Jason yelled up. "Show yourself!" he warned. He could hear a low creaking coming from behind him. His nerves shot. He couldn't bring himself to look behind him but he knew he would have to face this foe. He turned around and what he saw froze his entire being with shock. 5
...The coffin against the wall was opening...6
He made a break for the door. He threw the doors open but was sent to fall back as the light began to burn him. He pulled his trench coat over himself to hide his flesh from the light. He closed the door and took a shovel from the corner in hand. "Keep away!" he warned this rising corpse. His next sight cause him to press against the door. He saw the lid of the coffin completely open. He gripped the wood of the shovel as tight as he could. "Keep away, I warn you!" he shouted. A figure sat up from the coffin and stepped out of it. He didn't wait any longer. He took the shovel in both hands and ran towards the beast. "Lie down!" he screamed. He took a hard round swing at this creature. His shovel hit nothing but air. He was swinging blindly at this figure as best he could. When he realized he was hitting nothing, he stopped and gazed around the room. His vampiric eyes allowed him to see in the darkness. He didn't see the figure any longer. He looked around once more to be sure... Nothing.7
He set the shovel down. "...am I losing my mind?' he thought. 8
There was a loud slam and then suddenly, he felt a chain lasso fall around him and lift his feet off the ground beneath him. he could hear the chains "chinking" as he was lifted upside down. he then heard two light feet hit the stone ground (which was now "above" him)He looked up to see a woman standing above him. A mere red silk cloth dangling over her legs. One on the front and one on the back, they hung from her belt. She wore a black scarf over her breast which she tied at her back. Her smooth black hair came down to below her shoulders. Her pale blue eyes stared down upon him as she licked her lips...9
"...Hello Jason..." the woman said as she pulled his arms behind his back and cuffed him in irons.10
Jason shook and fidgeted as best he could to break free. His body was swinging somewhat by his ankles. "Keep away!" he yelped, fighting as hard as he could to break free. "If I have to, I will make you what I am!" he warned. He suddenly felt a soft hand graze his cheek. "Oh, that would be ironic." she said, her hand moving from grazing his cheek to running her fingers through his hair. He shifted to try to get away from her hand. "Why?" he demanded.
She brought her face before his, the pale, robin egg blue eyes of Jasmin staring him directly in his own. "Because I made you what you are..." she said with a bit of attitude.
His entire being froze. He was staring directly into the eyes of his former lover, Jasmin. "No...You can't be alive..." he whispered. His struggling NOW picked up. He started to fight the chains and irons like a man on fire. His body swaying and swinging. Jasmin simply took a hold of the chain to cease his swinging. "Don't strain yourself now, Jason. You wouldn't want all the blood to rush to your head." she said tauntingly. She knelt down and watched him struggle as if it amused her. She laughed some as he tried to break free. He started to cease in his attempt. "You know what? Fuck it... Just kill me already. I know you want to." he said in a defeated tone. She looked down upon him and slid her hand down her leg to her ankle and pulled a dagger from it's sheathe. 11
He looked up upon her, knowing that his death was coming. He turned his head and closed his eyes...12
He could feel the dagger start to slice into his shirt and tear it's fabric until his chest was completely exposed.13
He opened his eyes and looked up at her. "Jasmin..." he said in a confused tone. She looked down at him and clipped the chain, causing him to fall to the cold cold ground on his shoulder. He lay on his side, curled into a fetal position looking stature. "Don't flatter yourself!" she yelled angrily. Suddenly, she brought her leg back and gave him a hard kick in his stomach. He could feel his last breath escape him as he let out a "kow!" kind of moan. He curled even tighter into a ball on the floor. 14
"How dare you!" she screamed as she kicked him again, this time in his rib cage. The kick caused him to turn somewhat. He was gasping for air by this time. She looked down upon him and grabbed him up by his trench coat collar. She lift him enough to make him sit up. "Why?!" she cried out, with tears in her eyes. She brought the dagger back and thrust it into his shoulder, piercing his soft pale flesh as streams of blood poured from the stab. He cringed and grit his teeth. 15
Strangely though, he didn't say a word. Though it's not very hard to believe considering he was just given a good kick to the stomach. Jason was now trying to seek comfort in the cold feeling the ground gave him, trying to focus on it instead of his gut. Jasmin, however, grew very impatient with him very quickly. "Answer me!" she cried out, a bit of choke behind her voice. She had reached tears by this point. Her foot slammed into his gut again, this time a bit harder. He squinted and winced yet again, grunting, sometimes whimpering as she kept kicking him directly in his exposed chest which he could not protect with his ironed arms and legs. 16
"Why..." she said once more. Jason finally felt a break between his open chest being beat on. He was barely breathing by this point (Not that he had to). He lay his head down onto the cold floor once more to seek what small comfort he could from it. His eyes were closed. He suddenly felt a very sharp pain, like he had swallowed his own throat. His chest felt as if it were ready to burst. "Blood!" he cried out, squinting and gritting his teeth. It was only ironic, his choice in cursing. He suddenly let out a hard and long cough. The kind of cough that you could feel as if an airway just opened between your throat and your stomach. With every cough, he felt his hair on the cold ground grow wetter as well as his shoulders... Blood... He was losing a lot of it fast. He then knew exactly what was taking place. Jasmin wasn't sparing his life and just taking out her anger on him...17
She was killing him in the slowest manner she could think of.18
The affliction of agony ran through his entire body. "...J.." was all he could breathe by that point. His eyes were not adjusted to this darkness. Somehow, he was beaten hard enough to the point he couldn't see. But he did feel hands, the same soft, warm hands that once blessed his cheek with their presence, grab him up by his neck and lean him against the wall. "Talk." she said. Jason could find no way to make himself comfortable by this point. He closed his eyes, blood dripping from his lips down onto his clothes. He was starting to black out from such a loss of blood. 19
"Talk!" she demanded with anger and pain in her voice. She took a hold of him by his hair and propped his head back. Jason suddenly felt the sharp steal of Jasmin's dagger slice a nice little slit right in his throat, blood now pouring from his neck down onto his clothes. He would have cried out in pain, but he could not scream by this point. She glared at him as she held his head up by his hair as he fidgeted and jerked with the new pain that she had brought onto him. "You'll live you bastard." she said with tears in her eyes. "You can't fucking die this way... I am only giving you the pain you've given me... But I'm giving it to YOU physically." she said as she closed her eyes. She couldn't look at him... No, not him. Not like this. She hated what was happening, but she could not stop herself.20
Suddenly, Jason's breathing ceased...21
Jasmin closed her eyes as tears streamed down her cheeks. "You fool.. You can't trick me." she said with a hard swallow of what tears are made of. She glared at him through blood red eyes. "Not Again!" she said as she lift the dagger high into the air as she prepared to stab his chest. 22
The sound of irons falling to the floor could be heard as an echo in that mausoleum. And just as Jasmin's wrist thrust with her arm down onto Jason, aimed for his heart, the fingers of a deathly wounded dog that was sensing it's end wrapped around her wrist and struggled to hold her back from killing him. His eyes had become blood red by this point as he grit his teeth. She looked down upon him as she felt his hands stop her. "How did you-" she belted but before she could say another word, his other hand thrust and seized her by the throat. Her blood red eyes became their pale, blue, now frightened eyes. Jason forced her to look him dead in the eyes, pulling her down by her throat. You couldn't have put a golf ball between their noses. The sound of a cold, dying, wheezing, BLOOD thirsty voice bellowed out:23
"...I only wanted you... to want me... Not the girl... You raped... and you hurt... You've killed me..."24
He could hardly speak the words. He was losing far too much blood at such a fast rate. The words would have saved him all of this trouble in the beginning. The words that he poured onto the floor to fall on his blood on the night that his lover would kill him. Jasmin froze as the red left her lovers eyes, fading into gray...25
She shook him. She slapped him. She clawed him. "JASON! WAIT! JASON! COME BACK!" she cried in a burst of tears to the quiet, cold corpse before her.
