a Patch of Love

Granny lived in our house.1

And she liked to play.2

She cut out pictures for us,3

And sewed the on our clothes.4

I had a horse sewn on my busted knee.5

And there was a pig on my ripped sleeve.6

7

Mother used to worry,8

Granny said it was OK.9

We learned our animals,10

That lived on the farm.11

Everyone though it was cleaver.12

As they looked at each new patch.13

14

When I grew older,15

Granny knew what to do.16

I had racing cars.17

Red yellow, and green.18

Then she put on patches,19

That looked like flags.20

21

Mom saved all of the patches.22

From all of the clothes I went through.23

One day I found them,24

And remembered My dear sweet Gram.25

For each patche was sewn on with love.26

This was her way of protecting me.27

28

Now Mom did up some patches,29

And placed them on my kids clothes.30

Maybe there were no holes under the patches,31

For patches are bits of love.32

Made from Granny's soul.33

Cause patches mean someone cares.34

35

So if you have patches you can be proud.36

Maybe it is a car or an animal.37

It is a patch of love anyway.38

This is their is their protection.39

For when they can't be there.40

I love my patches of love.41

It's a very noce and sweet poem. The only thing I saw was a couple spelling mistakes. For example,
In line 12, is "though" supposed to be "thought"?
And in line 26, is "patche" supposed to be "patch"? Just some suggestions. Nice job.
