Chapter 13- Lover's Prelude

Dianna floated  through the rest of the school week, her anticipation  for her date with  Jimmy growing with each  day that passed.  Finally it was Friday, the day she had  been waiting for all week.    She did  a good maority of her homework as soon as she got home from school, ate an early dinner and got prepared for her date.  She showered, curled her hair, selected a nice  outfit and put on make up including her favorite  strawberry lipstick.   Dianna was hoping that  Jimmy would try and kiss her since it would be  her first kiss.'Maybe I shouldn't  think so over the top for our first date , I'll  get to know  him better  before I kiss him' Dianna thought to herself.    At 6:45  a car horn honked outside and  Dianna saw  Jimmy's  silver  Jetta  park in the driveway.   She opened the  passenger side door and slid in  placing her  purse  at her feet.   "Hey, what's up?"  Jimmy  greeted her.. "Not much, really looking forward to the  movie  what are we seeing?"  "Spiderman 2, which  I've heard really good things about." Jimmy answered   They arrived at the movie theater at 6:55 and got in  the ticket line  Dianna rifled around in her purse for money for her  ticket  " Don't worry, I've got it covered."  Jimmy said and  slid a  20  to ticket lady   saying "Two for Spiderman 2 please,"    Dianna  was in  shock as she took her ticket from  Jimmy's hand  ' Awww. He's so sweet' she thought to her self.  They  bypassed the candy and snack station and  went directly into the theater and found ideal seats.   The lights went down and  the movie started. Dianna was enthralled by the amazing special  effects and her eyes were riveted to the screen for the whole length of the movie.   Her mind was on the fact the Jimmy was sitting next to her enjoying the movie just as much as she  was.  After the movie they went  to a little café that was 5 minutes from the movie theter  and got some coffee and pastries.  They talked about school, friends, sports and music  and found  out that they had a lot in common.   Jimmy drove  Dianna home around quarter of 11.    Before leaving the car  Dianna thanked  Jimmy for a wonderful evening.  " Yeah we should definitely  do something together really soon."  Jimmy said as her waved goodbye.   Dianna ran upstairs to her room and went directly to bed.  She couldn't believe that    her night with  Jimmy had  went off without a hitch. She couldn't wait to tell her  friends about all that had happened.1

I have to agree with Sams comment...well, as far as the beeping horn and her leaving without him meeting the parents. Makes for bad parenting thats for sure. But, she is off on her first date...how exciting.

Now this chapter got me upset with Jimmy, Dianna and Diannas mama...lol
Jimmy beeped the horn and she went out to the car. The mother in me just screams..."Get back in this house young lady!!" I know that there are some girls that rush out at the beep or a horn, but on a first date. I felt that both Jimmy and Dianna were good young people, but he didn't even walk her to the door when he dropped her home...Did he at least watch to make sure she got into the house safely??? lol I know, I sound silly, but no way would my daughter (she's only 9)go on a first date and me not me the boy first. I also taught my son to be a gentleman as well.(He is 25 and 3 days old, a newlywed since December 18,04)
Don't get me wrong...I still like your story...I am just upset at Jimmy for beeping the horn..lol
