Efflorescence

Efflorescence.

Author notes

I feel this is a beautiful word, and I've heard it once in a brochure or something. I found out that efflorescence means flowering, or the opening of buds or a bloom, for those who are wondering what it means.

A contest entry

I wrote this story as an entry to a contest. (the contest requires the "poem" to be only one word).

This word is a beautiful word, particularly the second syllable, which is flo. It really makes the rest of the word flow along with it.

I bet many will need a dictionary on your author's note on this one, it isn't a word you see everyday... although we should. A word for the ages.
