“The Bridge over Troubled Waters”

• Down below, the waters rage
Tumbling, and toppling as in wage
Exploding over the river banks
Busting and bursting in planks
While up the treacherous water
The fragile bridge struggles against slaughter

• Down below the waters battle
Ripples blowing in a rattle
While by –passers navigate through
The raging waters grew
Taking in innocent souls
Grasping and clinging within its rolls

• Everyday thousands come to cross
Each day one suffers a loss
Some run so fast
And fall down into the blast
On the suspension bridge
While many die on the ridge

• They come to cross and leap
Without knowing the waters run deep
Like shallow waters that are dangerous
Crossing this river is treacherous
Some prefer to raft their way
They sink so soon in that day

• The waters rise and soar
Going vicious and hardcore
As all have to come and pass
They drown alas
Many manage to make it through
That’s when dreams come true

• It’s the heart and desire
That sets the fire
To venture and threat
Fight against the waters fret
Even when the waters get rough
They struggle and stay tough

Please tell me what you think
