"ORDERRR UP!" Spongebob shouts. Squidward pauses his bailet reading, and serves the food. There's a bottle of mustard misplaced on the floor, and he slips.
"What- What the?! Who put that there?! HMMMM!" and squidward lands on his back. He was holding his book, and it slid to the entrance, but Patrick's feet. He picks up the book and says,
"Hi Spongebob," and stares dully at a black area. He notices the book smeared with mustard, picks it up, and eats it.
"Patrick! you idiot! That was my favorite book!!" Squidward yells, with his nose flaring high above.
"Book? What book?" He searches eagarly for some food.
"No, Patrick... a book is...hm. something with words that you can enjoy!" spongebob says.
"Huh" drool starts to run down his mouth.
"You idiot! you'll never understand!" squidward yells, cleaning up the mess on the floor.
Mr. Krabs slams his office door open. "Ah hoy, Spongebob, Squidward. Hello, Patrick."
"Hi, Mr. Krabs!" Spongebob races to his boss.
"Spongebob, I want you to go and pick up a book for Mrs. Puff. She wants to learn about me journeys once when I was a very own pirate."
spongebob looks at his boss in shock.
"Hah. Mr. Krabs. A pirate." He snorts a laugh to himself.
"But Mr. Krabs, remember when you went a little overboard-"
"Hush! Just do what I say. Get whatever you want, just don't spend all me money! Watch your spending, boy!"
"Alrighty Mr. Krabs, whatever you say!" Spongebob starts to whistle an old sailor tune as Patrick follows him.

Spongebob continues walking to the book store, when he hears patrick emit a huge sigh.
"Pat! I didn't know you were behind me! What's wrong?"
Patrick kicks the floor sadly.
"Everyone thinks I'm an idiot."
"What? You're no idiot! Patrick, all you have to do is....uhm...look smart! and act smart!"
"You don't think I look smart? or act smart?" A frown smacks on his face. They arrive at the Bikini Bottom Book Barn (a.k.a BBB
Spongebob's expression lights up."Oh! Let's go find a book that will teach you how to be smart!"
"Book? What is 'book' that everyone talks about? What does it taste like?"
"No, Silly. I'll show you!" They enter the book store, and their eyes widen. The store was filled with millions of books. Spongebob starts to flip through books, frolicing and dancing while Patrick followed.
"A book is filled with imagination, words, and fun! You can start with this one! The base letters to start to read!" Patrick squints at the words and shakes his head.
"I can't. read it."
"Yes, you can Patrick!!" Spongebob sings happily. He pays for Mrs. Puff's books, and buys another bunch for his best friend, Patrick. They walk out of the store, give the books to Mr. Krabs, and head to Spongebob's Pineapple home.
The two friends spend the three whole days reading and practicing with Patrick very eager to learn.
In the morning, when the rooster starts to crow, the wake up drowsily and Gary, Spongebob's snail, meows.
"No Gary, Patrick can read! Stop saying he can't!" Spongebob whispers as he watches Patrick snore. "Patrick, Patrick! Let's go show everyone the real you!" Spongebob smiles and Patrick yawns to wake up.
