“Animal Farm”

• Have you ever been in an animal farm
Where all animals live and cause no harm
The wild, the ferocious and the friendly
Live in harmony peace and glee

• The monkeys gibber
Talk, chatter and blabber
Asses of grey
Crunch twaddle and bray
Bees twirl and thrum
Fly around and hum

• Birds twitter
Beaks chirp and glitter
They sing for harmony
In lovely sweet melody
Bulls yowl and bellow
Where meadows and green and yellow
Camels shake harness and grunt
With bells hanging up front

• Cats go to purr and mew
Playing with wools or red and blue
Cattle and cows low
As cocks crow
Dogs yelp and howl
Bark loud and growl

• Pigeons chatter and coo
The way doves do too
Ducks in lakes quack
As their feet in water whack
Eagles with eyes so keen
Scream from high above unseen
Elephants flap wings and trumpet
Wearing ears as a hat
Flies twirl high and buzz
Chased by some fuzz

• Ravens along frogs croak
Monitored by the hungry hawk
Geese hiss and gabble
Along with hens flutter and cackle
Horses hear and neigh
All the day
Hyenas find if funny to laugh
In fact some are very deaf
Jackals woo and howl
Kittens mew think it’s foul

• Sheep and lambs bleat
Stamp and pound their feet
Larks dance and sing
Sway on leaves and swing
Lions stare and roar
Eyes above manes soar
Mice jerk around and squeak
As if they chatter and speak

• Owls and hoots scream
From their nostrils rises steam
Oxen low and bellow
Turning with bulls fellow
Parrots mimic imitate and talk
While swallows migrate in a flock
Pigs oink and grunt
Swine squeal for a hunt

• Puppies in tiny yelps
Asking their mommy for helps
Snakes crawl and kiss
While swans cry in bliss
Tigers roar and growl
Sitting on the green meadow floor
All animals live so gay
Talking to each other all day

    Cute poem

This would make a good children's poem with the right illustrations. I've read some of your other poems and they seem to fit the children's genre. Maybe you should think about putting together a children's poetry book.

Daww. This was adorable. I love the way it rhymed basically the whole way through. I'm not sure if this was what you wanted, but the fact that there was no punctuation definitely added something to this. I don't quite know what, but it did.

Good job, and thanks for entering
