Friday the 13th is known as the most unlucky day of the year. But did you know that its also the day the world will end? Scientists predict that in the year 2036 in April on Friday the 13th an asteroid will hit the Earth and destroy all life on this planet. They have been studying an asteroid that they say will pass us twice. They say the first time it passes in the year 2029 it will miss us, but when it comes around again seven years later it will hit. They say that if the asteroid doesn't destroy us then the after effects will. The force of such a solid thing hitting the Earth could cause the ring of fire, also known as our super volcano's, to erupt. If these volcano's erupted it would kill almost everything in the oceans and would most likely cover the entire planet in flames and volcanic ash so thick that it would be impossible to breathe. Another effect could be that it would put us back in an ice age. For years people have been saying the world will end in a certain way, like that the sun will supernova, or that we'll create something and destroy ourselves. But this one makes a lot more sense, don't you think? I mean this would explain a lot, like why the dinosaurs died. If an asteroid struck the Earth it would have killed almost everything. Some scientists still think that a gamma burst will destroy us but they can't deny that this also makes sense too.(For the people who don't know what a gamma burst is i'll tell you. Its when a star explodes and the particles move at the speed of light.) Anyways its for you to think about. Do you agree or disagree?
