“A Recipe to Write a Good Poem”

• It’s time to write a poem
Here’s the formula
The right and true recipe
That we have to agree

• One teaspoon of love
One big spoon of emotion
Mixing up in bowl of devotion
Add some feeling
Until it stars chilling
Pour it in a dish of affliction
And add some spicy affection
Mix it with love and tenderness
And lay it inside the stove
Wearing a title as a glove

• You have to have some love
Some pain and agony as well
You must have some darkness
Black and white
Light so bright
Dark so black
Dim so sad
Open a window from your heart
Let the feelings dart
When drag them in a pen like a cart
When they reach you be ready to start

• Dip your feather in an jar of ink
A jar of emotions and dreams
Rest your head over the paper
And let imagination flow
Dreams to grow and glow
When they all come to funnel up
Let them blast in a blow

• Now to add some flavor
Take it out of the oven
Add some chocolate scrumptious descriptions
Design the face with images
Sugar and syrup, of varied flavors
Vanilla, banana, berries and strawberries
Not forgetting apricots and cherries
All in metaphors and similes

• Until you get ready to serve
Feed the paper with what it deserves
Follow the recipe
And see how your poem will shine in a glee
In words wide as the sea
And will be loved to an unprecedented degree

Aww, how adorable! I like the rhyme thingee it sort of makes sense, and in a way, this is really how we make poetry we bake it in our soul, and use words that would let our emotions seep in the readers' hearts and souls woot!

Thank you so much for this another lighthearted read very cute!!!
