Lover's Prelude- Chapter 7

The birds chirped  outside Dianna's window and Dianna rolled over and looked at her alarm  clock.  9:45! The morning was  half gone  and she had a lot of homework to do  before she  was to go out that night.  Tonight! Girls night out!   What she'd been looking forward to since  Tuesday at lunch time when the plans first started being made. She bounded down the stair and ate her breakfast  and then went outside to take a walk.  After her walk she  hit the books  right away  so she  had time to get ready for the evening's events.  She pulled out her biology and precalc binders and intently  got immersed in her work she briefly forgot about  Jimmy.  She  took a brief two hours nap and then bolted up from her bed after realizing it was 3:30. She jumped in the shower and  spent the  whole 10 minutes  of her shower humming to herself and thinking 'Tonight is gonna be  THE NIGHT, and  if I meet  Jimmy  i won't make a fool of myself in front of him.'  She got out of the shower  combed her hair nd got dressed. She  glanced at herself in the mirror  'Stunning she  thought now all I need  is a little bit of make up'.' She went in to room and  began to  ruffle through her make up drawer.  She  pulled out her favorite strawberry flavored lipstick. "Mmmm strawberries,  she thought  to herself  'Jimmy definitely wouldn't wanna miss out on kissing these voluptuous lips.'   She heard  a car horn honk and looked at the clock  4:45 right on time  She jumped into her shoes,grabbed her purse and  shut the door behind her  and got in to the passenger seat of  Abby's car.   Abby smiled at her. "You ready?" she said   "Oh  yeah I've been ready  since Wednesday, I'm so pumped."  Dianna returned the smile and the drove off toward Subway where they'd be  meeting their friends for dinner @ 5.  Dinner was brief  and  soon enough they were on their way to  One and Only's.   They made a brief stop at  a convenience  store to by some bottles of water because they figured they'd be screming really loud once  Jimmy's band came on.  They arrived at  One and Olly's exactly at  7pm, entered the venue  got their hands stamped and found a space of floor sit on. The opening band was OK  but  Dianna was getting more and more anxious to see  Jimmy in all his musical  glory. The opening band finished their set  and announced  No Man's  Land. The whole  crowd was up on their feet instantly cheering.  They started playing there first number and Dianna  found herself bobbing her head to the music and really getting into it.   All of sudden people  started moshing and Dianna and her friends suddenly found themselves in the middle of an incredibly  huge mosh pit  close to the  area that was in front of the stage.     Dianna couldn't help but look into  Jimmy's eyes enthralled by his talents of  mastering  guitar riffs.   Before they started the next song Jimmy  went up to the mike and said " Has any one noticed it's getting a tad hot in here?" Then he took off  his shirt and all the girls in the audience screamed  but Dianna  screamed the loudest because  well she just  thought  that Jimmy looked  attractive with his shirt off.  She  could see that he had been working out because his muscles looked  like those of one of those models you see on the cover of the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated.   1

No Man's  Land ended their set and there was a brief intermission to let the other band set up. Dianna and her friends went over the  to the complimentary food table and got some brownies and punch.  Suddenly Dianna felt someone  tap her on  the shoulder.  She  turned around slowly and noticed that Jimmy was standing right behind her.2

"Hey I'm Jimmy  i think we're in precalc together.   Enjoying the show so far?"3

For a minute Dianna was speechless she couldn't believe that Jimmy was talking to her.   She swallowed  the  gulp of   soda she'd just  taken and said   "Yeah I'm  having a blast. Your band is amazing!"  Dianna said4

'And so are you.' she added silently.    5

"My name is Jimmy  Richards, what's yours?" 6

Dianna was still in shock that Jimmy was actually talking  to her.  "I'm Dianna Rivers and yes we do have precalc together." 7

"Nice to meet you Dianna, I'll see you around school."  and then  Jimmy left to go mingle with some of the other club goers8

Dianna felt like she was in heaven.9
