The nappy fellow walked days to find his hopes. He had ragged jeans and a tattered flannel on, stroking himself, he thought he was now clean. One step in-front of the other his wholly shoes carried him,not looking back from where he once been a man of riches and fame.
He stopped to talk to a fairy who asked," Why have you left your fine castle, Oh fellow of the stony road?"
Nappy replied in soft whisper for he hadn't spoke in months," I am in pursuit of happiness. Do you know where it lies?"
The fairy of pink chuckled, "Happiness is a feeling not a place."
"Yes! dear fairy", the man humbled, shed a tear of sorrow and said," There was no happiness in my riches, but more and more lonesome I have grown, just watching everyone else mingle, with laughter, "I want what they have, happy emotions.Goodbye! Pink fairy," and he dragged himself away.
"HELP! HELP! I am tangled in the brier patch,HELP!"
There before him in wretched torn clothing stood a beautiful
young maiden of shimmering golden hair and crystal blue eyes.
She stood and stared, as he neared, "Please, free me,"she cried, as the pain of the thorns dug deeper in her frail pale skin.
He delicately removed every branch.
When the last branch was removed. She kissed and hugged the nappy man of filth.
His eyes sparkled,so this is the kiss and hug of gratitude. It felt warming to his soul. Not a fake desire for his riches."Thank you, my dear, I have reached pure happiness,"he spoke with a proud exterior.
She looked at him in wonder,"Oh what ever do you mean?"
He said in a soft joyous tone,"Come with me and be my companion and friend.I so need a true friend.Come we shall laugh and giggle tell joyous stories to all the kingdom of how the King has found happiness."
She graciously complied and went to live with the King, who once only knew sorrow and pain.
They soon married and the tale of the miserable King, turned to dancing, parties and a smiling kingdom of low taxes.
