Someone to Hold [Part 3.]

It was the next day and the three best friends were walking towards the bus stop,

It felt as if everything was gonna go smoothly.

“I got a phone call from Mark last night,” said Shymiah in a sad way.

“And?” Shyan responded in an ignorant tone.

“Me dijo that he had to move out the country to handle more business”

When Jennifer heard the news she became devastated.

She developed feelings for Mark so quickly and she never told anyone.

Jennifer was willing to risk anything for him. The only thing that blocked her from him was Shymiah. Jennifer felt like everything she ever wanted Shymiah always took, but the truth is that Jennifer’s jealousy towards Shymiah has taken over her completely.

“For how long?” asked Jennifer curiously.

“No se, he probably won’t come back, because everyone in el barrio is looking for him.”

After school, Shymiah received a phone call from Mark saying to meet him at the Airport.

As Shymiah was getting of the taxi all of a sudden she felt a weird feeling that she never felt before. She felt as if she was losing someone she really loved.

“Hey Mia!” Mark called over from the Airport’s lobby.

Shymiah approached him.

As she stood in front of him tears rolled down her cheeks.

“So” Shymiah said sadly.

“Will you write to me when you get there?”

“Of course, I don’t want to lose contact with someone really special to me” Mark responded.

Shymiah gazed up into his eyes and felt that feeling she felt when she got off the taxi.

“Mia, I want to give you something before I leave”

Mark took out this small white case.

Shymiah glared at the case and felt nervous.

“What’s this?” she asked uncomfortably.

“It’s a ring”

He kneeled down to the floor.

“After I finish all of this mess, will you marry me?”

At that moment Shymiah could think of is F*ck F*ck F*ck someone just proposed to me.

She felt mixed emotions and didn’t know what to say. She felt all eyes on her.

“I…I…I”

Everyone in the Airport lobby was looking at her waiting for her to answer him.

It was such an intense moment that she was put in.

Mark stared at her anxiously waiting for her to say yes.

“I..I’ll wait for you when you come back” Shymiah said in a soft tone.

She took the ring, but didn’t put it on her finger. Instead she placed it in her pocket.

Mark was shocked, but he was willing to win her love over.

“Ok, I understand” he got back up and gave her a kiss.

“Te amo” Mark responded.
