a Tribble Night Mare=Chapter 1

Lisa carter stood in front of the square sized mirror above her basin in her bathroom, admiring her self and how far she had come. She couldn’t believe how fast the years has gone by. Just yesterday she was twenty one and after her golden clock hits twelve she became twenty two.

She had noticed a lots of changes in her life. Eighteen years ago she was a little different. She had the same vivacious personality but different physical features. Her hair was dyed black, shorter than it now is. Her eyes were contacted blue with black thick eye brows. Now she’s a slender blond woman with a perfect beauty that matches the one within her. Her eyes naturally deep green and her blond hair long and thick. As she stood there applying makeup on her face, the door of her apartment room flung open and Nora enter. Surprise! She took behind her a beautiful wrapped gift. A package for you she said as she handed it to her. Oh, Nora! Lisa said with a hug, you didn’t have to do this. I know I didn’t have to she said with a smile, but sisterhood has no rules remember?

Nora Banks wasn’t just Lisa’s roommate; she was also her best friend. They’ve grown up together, went to the same primary school and ended up in the same university. Not that they planed on attending the same college. It was actually a twist of fate. Nora had moved to California at the end of their junior year to live with her mother, after her dad died of pneumonia.

Blanche Deshan, the other half that made them a whole had travel to France on tour. College was certainty not for her. She had found her space in the show business and had become one of most popular actress and musician from London. It had always been her parents dream to see her on Broadway and it was her goal to make it happen. Their friendship had become more distance since she had gotten famous. They only get to see her on special occasions like Christmas, birthdays and movies premieres. Other than that it’s just through magazines, newspapers or television. Triplets was what anyone from their high school would recognize them as. Not that they looked alike or anything. They were well know as inseparable. Together they did everything and swore to always be there for each other. Neither of them had broken that promise. Not even Blanche. Though she’s usually away she had always been there when needed.

Lisa was slowly opening her present when the phone rang. Hello? She answered. She could hear nothing but music. It was a birthday song for her or at least it’s what she predicted. Kevin was the only person that rushed to mind at that moment.

Who’s that? Nora asked when she saw the smile on Lisa’s face.

Who else but Kev? Lisa answered.

But he called earlier this morning.

Did he?

Yes, actually he wants you to be ready by seven, he’s coming to pick you up. Then who is this she said still holding the phone close to her ears.

Surprise, It’s Blanche.

Oh, I thought….I didn’t know you remembered.

Oh, come on Lisa, Don’t be silly.

How can I forget your birthday?

Well manmade Deshan, you seems to have forgotten a lot lately so I just thought….I thought, that’s all.

Yeah? Well have a great one and don’t be surprise to see a strange package in your mail, but be careful it might be a bomb.

Kill me and my ghost will hunt you forever she joked.

Alright Lisa, say hi to everyone and just expect me next month.

Bye brat.

She hanged up only to found out that her surprises hasn’t ended yet.

Whose is this? She asked as she held the a big box wrapped in paper decorated with little heresy brands, shaking it to see if she could tell what it was. Dad’s or maybe Kevin’s, Nora said with a strange voice.

On the top of the gift there was an envelop that said read me.

The box had been wrapped very carefully over and over again. By then she had already figured out who sent it.

Did he tell you what’s in here?

What? That? Oh, no. it’s suppose to be a surprise.

Please Nora, surprises are for babies, I grew out of that 18 years ago.

Really? I guess I’ll just tell Kevin to cancel that surprise he has in store for you.

It’s not a surprise if he’s planning a wait table.

It’s better than eating raisins and blueberries sitting in front of the TV and watching golden girls.

Not at all Nora, that actually sounds good.

Please tell me what you think
