A Scream In The Night (Act One Scene IV)

Scene IV1

(The scene opens up to AIYA sitting beside a lone gravestone. Some blue flowers are laying over it and she looks down at the ground silently. A few tears dripping down her cheeks. She had just killed BROWN so there is a bit of blood on her blouse. Her previously neat hair is removed from its braid and hanging over her face as she begins to speak. DYNASTY was there again. DYNASTY is standing DR, pale and wearing white as she had last time though there is very litte light on her. The spot light should be on AIYA. DYNASTY is not seen by AIYA)2

AIYA: Dynasty...For the longest time I blamed myself for that happened to you that night. You shouldn't have died. I should have fought harder, like you did to save my life. But I didn't. I was a coward and ran. Granted you told me to, but...I didn't have to listen. I know. I know. You'd say one alive is better than none--But I culd have saved you! I...(She looks up and sighs)3

You were the light in my life, Dyn. My best friend. And sometimes I dont know...I guess...Nevermind. I kept my promise. Your killer was Ben's father, Jonathan Brown. He attacked me again, though I'm sure you knew that. You said you were always with me. I just wish you were here in the Flesh. I love you, Dyn. I jope you can find peace in knowing that your killer is gone and none other will be harmed by his malicious evil. Rest now, Dynasty Serenity Rain, as I too can rest.4

(The light fades away on AIYA slowly, the only light on Dynasty who is smiling before the light goes out and the curtain finally closes.)5
