A Mighty Eagle roamed the skies

Among his clan was thought so wise

Each day eyes watched him fly about

And warned their leaders to watch out

This Eagle chose to chase the weak

And killed them with his sharper beak

Vanity led him to believe

That nothing could he not defeat

He sought only chiefs of lower flocks

Who then would scatter like the lost

Commanding all that dared to fly

Across the world, the entire sky

Eyes from a perch closely watched

As all bowed down with each new notch

Rebellion sought to settle in

As change was dwelling in the wind

The falcon liked the larger meat

And never had he known defeat

He'd take the big ones out of fun

For they were slow and couldn't run

Unaware said King Eagle flew

His bird of death existed too

He'd seen the falcon grab from his clan

But didn't really give a damn

"Who but a fool would try for him

To do so could be no greater sin"

The scattered birds launched their assault

The Eagle chose to himself exalt

The distraction made an easy kill

No match at all to falcon's skill

Then penetrated to his heart

The Eagle fell in his silent start
