His voice was a low murmur whispered in her ear, a soft growl in the back of his throat. Her breath caught in her chest as she turned so that her eyes met his of glowing amber. Firelight flickered throughout the room, rippling shadows on the walls. 3
With a slight, slow smile, and some of the usual sensibility back in his voice, he said, "If you'd forgive an old werewolf of such notions..."4
He raised a slender hand to her cheek and trailed a long finger along her jawbone to her lips, where she instinctively kissed it softly.5
She couldn't help but step closer to him, his body radiating a soft heat.6
"I should think I would be willing prey."7
And then they were in each other's arms, suddenly desperate for something neither of them had before thought they had needed. She breathed in the heady scent of him, he caught her mouth with his and devoured her gently with his kisses.8
Twining her fingers into his hair, pulling away from the intense kiss to fulfill her long undone wishes of kissing the lines across his forehead, under his eyes, the crease between his eyebrows, then returning to his mouth, to fill her with exhilarating sensations.9
Robes gone, just skin and fire.10
"Forever?"11
Breathless asking of the unsaid pledge.12
"Forever."13

i loved this!!!! Absolutely fantabulorific! You captured a real fore between two characters i couldn't picture a fire between before...now I really feel like it's something that should be there! Awesome write. I loved the imagery and how the "scene" was tastefully written (although I would TOTALLY read the XXX version if you made one ) Great job, I loved it! Keep it up, I want more Potterfics!

I interpreted it as, yep, Hermione asking, but, really, you're right. I could be taken either way... Thanks again!

Ok, wow. I'm a little surpried. I had no idea there was a Remus/Hermoine thing. I'd have never guessed it was her. That said, I think this was an excelent write. You really managed to capture the spark and the heat. There's a real urgency here that keeps you in the moment. I'm very impressed. And the subject is positively delicious! Who hasn't thought about kissing all those scratches and scars?
This could very easily slip into the realm of erotica, and I don't think anyone would mind if you took it there. (hint-hint) I love the way you ended it. It's not entirely clear who did the asking or the affirming, and I like it that way. It really gives the reader licence to interpret it as they wish. (Although it does make me curious as to which way you meant it to be. (Hermoine asking?)) This was all together brilliant and I'm glad to see you were properly awarded in the contest.

Thank you! (Again ) Yes, I think that's where most of the Remus/Hermione people come from... the intellect in both of them. They're so similar and compatible. People just tend to get freaked out about the age differences, but if you don't mind, it works well! Thanks, again.

Remus and Hermione make great sense, I think. It's all in the mind. The intellect. I think that not putting the names in the actual story was a great idea. And as always, I liked this.
