You want to know what happiness is?
It's waking up in the middle of the night for no reason,
shifting under the blankets and
feeling the heat of the person next to you.
You turn around and see them in their most
peaceful, innocent, and vulnerable state.
They breathe as though the weight of the world lays on
anyone's shoulder but their own.
You smile, kiss their face in the most gentle manner so as not to wake them.
You turn back around and an involuntary grin forms on your own face.
You feel an arm wrap around your waist,
and you know it doesn't get any better than this

Ooooh, this is one of those "new style" poems, isn't it? Where it's all direct statements, written more like prose than poetry. Neat. I haven't seen one on this site before.
I like the idea of this, and the whole meaning of the poem. I agree with that emotion, but I wish there had been..."fancier" language. More poetic language. This is just a personal preference, however. This piece is still really good. Good job. -

It was quite romantic, and creepy (if someone was staring at me in the middle of the night, lol).
jk, it wasn't creepy, it was cute. Definitely deserved to be written on a pink background, because if a guy had wrote it, it would be like, 'she's asleep, time to sneak downstairs and watch basketball', haha.
