Look at him. Lying on his bed doing his homework like he doesn't even realize how big of a fool he makes out of Hermione and me!3
/We/ were the ones who put up with his temper tantrums the most two years ago, but did anyone ever say 'Wow, Ron, Hermione! You're so patient and caring and loyal! I would kill to have a friend like you!'? No. Everyone always ranted about 'Poor Harry!'. Poor Harry, my arse.4
Look at him. He acts all innocent, sucking on his quill while he tries to figure out what, in the name of Merlin, Snape is asking. 5
He sets down his quill, raising those emerald green eyes questioningly to me. "Oi, Ron...Didja get number four?"6
Number four? Yes. "No."7
"Maybe Mione will know..." he trails off, picking up his quill. 8
Biding his time is he? And then he'll spring it on her, leeching her knowledge, like she's his own personal homework machine. Not only that, but he'll expect her to do it again, when he can't figure out number five too! We'll /always/ come running back like your little puppies, is that what you'll think?9
He sighs and sets down his quill again, hands moving to rub his eyes.10
Tired, are we? Not as tired as Hermione and I are. All the time. Because we have to do your work, Harry Potter. You leave us no choice. You drag us around, getting us into trouble, risking our lives...11
"Ron..."12
"Hm?" I pull my own quill from my mouth.13
"I just...you know, wanted to thank you. For everything you and Hermione have done for me over the past few years. I owe you so much."14

Heh..Yeah. Ron's never really been a favorite of mine. I'm a Fred and George, Draco, Remus, Sirius and Snape kind of person.
I've been in the midst of writing an uber long fic and it was good to write something short. I'm glad you liked it! ^^ -
LOL, that was a short, but cute story. The ending had me laughing, and if Ron doesnt think that in the real story, then he is indeed a special friend. Good luck in the contest.
