It was Mother's Day. My mom, family and I decided we wanted to eat at a good restaurant for Mother's Day, so we picked Sir Charle's Inn Bed and Breakfast. I ordered a Caeser Salad, which was very good. We ate up and got full.

When the check came, my mom's friend insisted on paying for it. After it was paid, we each got a peppermint, the round ones. We went out and headed to the car. I put my mint in. It was good. However, suddenly I choked on it. I could still breathe. My mom tried the Heimlich Maneuver on me, but it didn't work! I couldn't believe it! My dad pushed me in the car and drove me to the hospital.

When we got to the hospital, we checked in. When they called my name into the office, I was scared! They checked my blood pressure and my breathing pulse. My blood pressure was up, but my breathing pulse was fine, so that made me relieved. Then they said I had to go to the back to get x-rays.

When I got in the x-ray room, I froze. Is this really happening to me? Am I going to live? I got my x-ray back and they said it will be fine. They took me back to my room and gave me medicine and warm water to help melt the peppermint. To this day, I'm terrified to eat the round peppermints. I told mom the next day that it was a dream it had to be but she told me otherwise.
