Angels of the good and the bad

Driving across the country roads in a violent British storm is bad enough for Susan, but having her two children Micheal and Kim in the back is daunting for her.

Every Christmas eve the family of three visit their friends who live on the outskirts of London and drive back home 86 miles across country roads at midnight. As Susan was focused on watching the road through the thick darkness her two children were quiet in the back listening to thier MP3 players.

Violently the rough rain bounced down on to the road like nails making the tarmac dangerously slippy, enough so to cause a horrific car accident. Susan suddenly shivered as if a cold breeze blew past her, but the heating inside the car was on.

Kim, Susan's 13 year old daughter was staring outside the steamy windows looking at the woods that surrounded the whole road that the spacious saloon was travelling down. Outside was pitch Black with a thick fog rolling through the trees causing poor visiblity with large droplets of rain bouncing on top of the car roof.

Slowly the digital clock on the Black plastic dash board struck 1:32am as the children in the back quietly fell to sleep with their MP3 players still blasting out music through their innocent ears. With her eyes wide open, Susan struggled to stay awake with her eyes hurting due to her constantly following the headlights across corner after corner.

Suddenly in the split of a second, Kim jolted her body towards the window and stared in absolute horror. Beyond the branches and fog a creepy running Black figure ran through the fog and kept pace with the moving car. After a good minute of staring at this slightly deformed moving figure, Kim noticed that it was coming closer towards the car.

Strangly this figure did not have skin like an animal which Kim first thought it was. It was made from some sort of gas due to clumps of black gas flowing of it's body.

In an instant pounce, this strange being banged on the car window as Kim jumped back on to her brothers lap which made him jump up and her mother swerve on to the other side of the road. Breaking hard, half the car landed off the road and on to the soaking grass.

"Kim, what the hell is wrong with u?, we could of crashed." Susan yelled while breathing heavily.

Kim could reply without muttering so she simply replied "Nothing" to her angry mother and startled brother. Without argueing Susan simply put the inncident at the back of her mind and set off back home.

As soon as they set of a similar figure set off running through the woods, but this this figure was White and it tried to run in front of the car. Strangly no one else could see it except Kim. Due to fright Kim told her mum to stop the car and check outside.

Susan carried on driving and told Kim to go to sleep and to stop being stupid. Being a nice teenager Kim tried to fall to sleep until she saw the white figure climbing up the car bonnet.

"Mum, mum look" Kim screamed.

Susan haulted to a stop once again, turned round and stared at her daughter with such anger in her eyes.

"Kim, there is nothing outside, so stop attention seeking and go to sleep or listen to your music, but whatever you do don't distirb me while i am driving." Susan explained in an angry tone of voice.

As Susan was about to set off driving again, a loud spine tingling scream made all the family members aware that something was wrong. All of a sudden a flying object slammed down on their car roof and fell onto the floorwith such a thud it sounded like thunder.

Shakin with fear, Susan stepped out of the car and ran towards the car boot to get her torch. Slowly she walked further into the woods with her flashlight for company and visibility. As the children stared in fear at their mother slowly disappearing into the thick mist, Susan couldn't stop shaking which caused the light to flash in different directions.

Without warning the mysterious blakc figure started clawing at her as she fell onto the floor with her hands pushing it away. As her children stared in fright as her mothers hands went straight through the ghastly apparation another Black ghostly figure ran out of the mist and towards the children who were locked inside the car.

Screaming violently as the creature raced towards them, the children climbed into the front seat where their mother had left the car keys in the ignition. With Micheal who is 16 years old, he started the car and raced towards the black figure that was attacking their mother.

While the second figure was chasing Micheal and his sister, a white figure raced towards Susan and started to push away the black spirit. As the headlights came closer to Susan and the two figures, she screamed in horror as Micheal began to break.

Due to the grass being wet, the car skidded straight into Susan knocking her over the car roof as the three spirits disappeared.

In panic Micheal and Kim rushed out the car to see their broken mother distorted in the wet grass with bugs crawling over her open skin. Blood slowly dripped from her head as her legs were twisted due to the impact of the car.

Slowly a white figure appeared out of the woods and stood beside the dead mother as the children fell to the floor in shock. Another white spirit stood up outside of Susan's body and walked into the woods holding hands with the other figure as they both disappeared through the mist. Was it Susan's spirit passing on to the other world?

Tears rolled down Kims face as her brother Micheal hugged her to show support. Slowly they sluggishly walked towards the car which was coated in grass and blood.

Slowly they both set off onto the road when a Black figure appeared from the back seat and grabbed kim who was sat in the passenger seat. The car swerved as Micheal tried to unhook the ghostly creature from Kim.

2 mile away from the car headlights raced towards them as the car was still speeding on the other side of the road. Within a second the ongoing car impaled the two children as the car flipped over and crashed into a nearby tree.

Micheal died instantly but Kim was still shaking. Because Kim was still alive the figure raced towards her broken body inside the twisted car. The ruthless creature clawed at her face staring at her with it's black emotionless eyes. With blood slowly choking Kim, her desire to survive was torn apart as her beating drum grinded to a hault and remained lifeless.

As the black figure disappeared, 2 white spirits emerged from the impaled car and walked off holding hands into the mist while the survivors from the other car stared in shock while holding a cell phone to their ear.

As the survivors from the other car was laid in the middle of the road bleeding, daunting black figures raced towards them from the mist.

The battle between the good and the bad wasn't over as death slowly reaped the survivors one by one.
