No title yet- just a basic chick flick book =) ch 1

Maive puckered her shiny lips at herself in the mirror. Applying one more swipe of electric blue mascara, she jumped out of her seat, grabbed her back pack and rushed downstairs. The smell of bacon was calling her.

"Good morning honey!" her overly enthusiastic mom called from her spot over the sizzling frying pan. Sal Anderson was one of those few whom we call "morning people." Maive just smiled, and sat down at a plate set on the table. Normally she was annoyed at her mother's perkiness, but excited as she was about her first day of junior high, she wasn't today.

"Thanks!" Maive said, as her mom placed a piece of the delicious bacon beside her scrambled eggs. She took a bite, and closed her eyes as she chewed, imagining herself in 7th grade- junior high!

"Hurry hon, you're gonna be late!" Sal yelled from the laundry room. Maive jumped up and looked at herself in the mirror.

"Looking good," she thought. Then she laughed out loud at how dumb that felt to say. It was true though. Her brown bermuda shorts perfectly matched her brown Aeropostale shirt, speckled in pink, white, and navy blue hearts. Her bright pink Old Navy flip-flops accented it all. Her hair was scrunched into loose, flowing curls, and her makeup was flawless. (She had perfected her skills over the summer) Her deep emerald eyes sparkled with excitment and hope.

With a deep breath, she stepped out of her house into the crisp September air, and got in the car. Sal followed her, and sat down. She was wearing her apron.

"Mommm," groaned maice, "you're not wearing that to school are you??"

Sal laughed, "Oh Maive, I'm not even getting out of the car. No one will see me."

Obviously it's not finished... this is just the beginning
