New start of a year (An Anita Blake Vampire story, From Circus of the Damned)

It was a wind swept night, trees rustling. The air smelled of the dead. Blood was drying on my skin and cloths. My duties were done for the night, so I stood alone, on the top of Moory Grave Hill. Over a hundred old, chipped graves stones lie around me, bearing names of lost loved one's. A Claire Roberts stone lay, broken in half at my feet. The dirt above her grave was unsettled, seeing as she had just returned to her coffin. Claire Roberts was a young woman who died in the 1940's. She had to be risen, for reasons I did not find out, as I had walked away so the family could do there business. No skin was on her body. She was only a skeletal figure with small taters of clothing. 1

You saw no expression on her face when I told her she was dead and I had to put her back in the ground. She merely waved her bony hand at me to acknowledge that she understood. The family had gone, and I was alone on this ghostly night. The moon peaked around a grey cloud, then hid again. Clouds covered the midnight blue sky, telling me rain was soon to come. I made my way down the hill to my car. 2

A gust of forceful wind hit me whipping my hair all over. A figure stood in front of my car. It loomed over me, as I slowly approached it. The face of a man was shown in the moonlight, it was Edward.3

"What do you want Edward?" I asked, sounding tired.4

"You lied to me, Anita. Alejandro is not the master of the city!" He said in a short voice. 5

"I never said he was the Master, I merely told you he was old and powerful." I smirked at that.6

Edward reached out to grab me, but I pulled away. He lunged, but I ran. I made it to the trees next to the graveyard. I pulled out my Browning and readied myself to shoot. Edwards voice rang out in the night "I will get the name of the Master, Anita, I will. And this time I wont care if I have to torture you to death to get the name. I will finish my job, I will." A twig broke on the ground near me. 7

I peered around the tree to see Edward, back turned to me. I fired at him, in the lower back. It hit, right under the left shoulder blade. He hit the ground and I ran.8

I made it to my car, climbed in and sped away. Edward would have killed me, shit. If I had not of acted right away. But, I hope he's not dead. If I killed him... God this in going to be a shit year. I can tell.9

This is good. But you made some mistakes if you are going to base this on Anita Blake. (1)After a person is raised from the dead, the dirt goes back like it was never touched. (2)Anita would NEVER had done anything without knowing the reason.(3) If Anita used her blood, the rasied person knows they are dead, if she uses animal blood, the person does not.
I thought that I should just point these very important details out. Besides all that, this was very good! Great job!
