"Why hello there...Missy right? Sorry but I dont have carrots or pears with me." He said which made her smile. 1

"What a shame." She loved her way of teasing. 2

"So how are you? Havnt seen you in a while. Well, of course, I havent been in the market place business for a while."3

"I am fine. What do you mean?"4

"Oh, I was serving some war time in a small country off the coast. Plus, I wouldnt want to be a cart for the rest of my life. Being a cart boy wont bring in the money on the dinner table in the future. Maybe the dinner, but not the money it takes to support a family. You know what I mean or am I just rambling on?" They spoke for a while. Alexander being the gentlemen he is offered to buy lunch for Missy. After lunch and walking along shore Missy said goodbye to Alexander and rushed to Victoria to tell her. The next day she was filled with so much joy. She didnt know if it was true love but she knew it was love at first sight. 5

After seeing each other unexpectdly a few times they decided to keep in touch. They became good friends. Alexander was there as a shoulder to cry on whenever Missy needed him. He was there when Victoria had a miscarriage. Alexander was always the one to make Missy laugh. He would spend hours by the ocean telling her jokes and funny stories from his time at war. Alexander was just the most caring person Missy ever met. The day after she told him about her cabin he built a smaller version in the spot her old one had been. Missy never let her real feelings get in the way of their friendship. The day of her 21st birthday Alexander and her had a small picnic by the cabin he built. Missy could sense there was 6

something different that day. She knew something big was going to happen. 7

"Missy, I have known you for a long time. I have thought greatly about what I am about to say for a long time also. Missy, I love you. I always have. I---" Without letting him finish Missy hugged him and started crying. 8

"I love you too. Oh, Alexander ever since the market place I have! I didnt know you felt the same way." After spilling her heart out Missy claimed the kiss she had been waiting for since the first time she looked into his sky blue eyes. That night Missy gave up her virginity to 9

her true love. They would make plans for the future. They were going to live in the massive house he inherited from his grandfather. They were going to have a large loving family. They were going to live the perfect life. Despite her Mother's wishes Missy moved in with Alexander in Grandfather's House. The only one that knew of this was Victoria. One day 10

when Missy came in from doing errands she found Alexander laying on the table drunk. She took him to the bedroom and watched him sleep. Watching his chest going up and down she noticed the envelope in his pocket. She went to the other room read it, wept, and fell asleep. The next morning she awake to the smell of bacon being cooked. She thought it was 11

Victoria, like when she used to live alone, but it wasnt. Alexander smiled at her undone hair and smeared eye makeup. Missy didnt return the smile.12
