Flee the Painful Memories I

"Missy, I know we have just met but my undying love is to hard to beat. I love you with all my heart. I will do anything for you. Just tell me you will be my wife now and for--" A strike of bright lightning followed by the booming thunder awake Missy in her little bedroom in her tiny cabin along the ocean shore. It was all a dream. It is always a dream. Ever since she was little Missy has believe in true love and love at first sight. However even with her in her prime years she has never experienced it, but she wont give up. Missy straightened out her night dress and went to the kitchen. Standing there in front of the old stove was her sister Victoria. Missy didnt even hear her come in. 1

"Hi, Vicky. When did you come over?" She asked her older sister, by two years, who was also her best friend. 2

"Oh, and a Good Morning to you too. I've only been here for a hour. Thought I would prepare breakfast." Victoria looked at her younger sister with her huge green eyes. Her and Missy looked so alike, yet so different. 3

"Thanks."4

"You slept for long. Mother wouldnt like to hear of that. I know you didnt come in late last night. You didnt go out. Are you ill?" "No. No, Im not ill. I had the dream again." Victoria oddly looked at her little baby sister then sat down on the chair next to her. 5

"The dream about marrying your true love and being with him forever and ever?"6

"Yes. Do you really think it will be like that? Oh, I hope so."7

"Missy dont be foolish. Life isnt like that." 8

"Victoria! How could you say that? What about Paul? He was your true love and you married."9

"Yes, he was. But he went off to war and died. If it was meant to be and was true love he wouldnt of gone and we would be together." Missy didnt want to hear any more of this. Without warning she went outside and jumped into the cool ocean water. Night clothes on and all.  "Mother would be apalled!" Victoria laughed from the dry land and watched her sister swim without a care.10

"Oh stop being a baby!" Missy yelled and pulled her sister in.11
