Then there exists a being

Only if you exist

• If you exist in my heart
Then there beats mine hard
Pounding and pulsing fast
Craving to the touch of your lips
To pick a soft supple kiss

There I shall live
If you exist in my life
Then I should be singing swallow
But if you don’t
I must be dead and buried

Then I shall live for dawn
If you exist
Then you must be the moon
Shining bright at night
If you exist
Then you must be the essence
Of my life
The nectar of my heart

Then you must be that angel
Whom I pray every day and night
You must be that queen

Then this whole world exists

    Now this is something that struck me
    I love how it speaks to me, calls out to me... and well, in its simple beauty, I found myself agreeing with you.. great work, Pete!
    I guess.. when we are in love, we place our happiness too much in the person's own happiness.. that is not necessarily a bad thing, especially if we are loved in return.. ^_^ it even is fun, living to love and loving to live... I really like this poem.. so much that I am bookmarking it
