It was a beautiful day. The sun’s face was looking down on Earth smiling her biggest smile. The people rustling down to school, work, or where ever they were going to. Leena, an easy normal 15 year old girl, was just sleeping. It was 78 degrees, on a hot summer day. She didn’t have to go to summer school. She did all good grades last year. While almost half of the class had to go to summer school. Most of her classmates were bad, rude, and got a lot of referrals; no detentions. She never had gotten any of those.
Sleeping away Leena was dreaming about what she was going to do if she moved. Her mom told her that they might be moving. Feeling butterflies in her stomach, she finally got up. She stretched her arms nice and wide, feeling dizzy as she got up. Looking in her closet seeing the outfits she can combine: a green shirt, with a blue skirt. A blue tank top with thin straps, and jeans. Dark purple long shirt that says,” I’m smarter than you.” She smiled at the outfits she can put together. She closed her eyes and reached her finger out and picked up a random shirt. Then she laid that shirt on the chair. Still having her eyes closed she walked to the closet. She picked out pair of pants. She finally opened her eyes, and saw she picked out a two piece shirt, one was a thin strapped tank top, and it was black. The other shirt had only one strap that was bluish, and greenish. With blue jeans that say, “I can’t live without adventure.” She felt good once she put on her outfit. She felt that this was the right outfit for good luck. She knew was going to have a good day, because of her new good luck outfit. Leena was very superstitious. This outfit made her blue eyes shine, and her lovely short black hair look longer.
She turned on her favorite artist, and started dancing like on the movies. She felt happy and weird at the same time. She tried to remember that her life was not a movie, but she made it look like a movie. She jumped up and down like a crazy manic. “Today will go well, and today is going to be my favorite day,” she said jumping up and down on her bottom on the bed. She was happy. She ran down stairs and ran out the door bare footed, and danced in her front yard like she always does during the summer.
Then the sky turned gray in two seconds. There was thunder, and then rain. “Aw man!” yelled Leena to the sky. “Why now?!” she said putting her face up to the gray, raining sky. Her hair gotten curly, and wet. She ran inside. Groaning on her way up stairs, she stomped her feet every step. “Honey, don’t dance in the rain,” said Leena’s mom seeing her stomp her way up stairs. Leena groaned more. She closed her door behind her. She walked to her window sill, and sat where the bench was sticking out. She looked at the rain pouring its water on the ground, and anywhere something was in its way. Leena sighed. “Why did it have to rain today?! Today was supposed to be the best day!” said Leena putting her head back to the wall.
It was getting late. The rain was still falling. “Maybe it would be sunny tomorrow,” said Leena happily. She felt her eyes get heavier. Soon she feel asleep. She was in a deep, deep sleep. Then there was a rustle. Leena got up quickly. She ran down stairs, but no one was there. Leena felt a shiver go up her spine. She ran back up stairs and ran into her room.
There lying in her bed, was a tall, beautiful fairy. “Hello, Leena,” said the fairy smiling.
