Two men stand looking through a small hole, a window into another world. A window into his world, the world of man in the white coat. The small padded room may not seem like much, but it his whole world. An infinite world that goes on forever, never stopping, and ever changing.
Just out side the glass the first man looks down the hall. “How long has he been like this?” A scowl crosses his face.
The second man turns away, “We, we don’t know. He’s been buzzing around all night, Dr. Adam. One of the night watch men called in the behavior at 3:15 am almost two nights ago. How is he still awake?”
The first man, Dr. Adam, was one of the most respected psychologist in the state. He often dealt with unexplainable behavior, but this one took the cake. “The mind can do strange things. They say you tranq-ed him and he still won’t sleep?”
“Yeah, he took enough to put down a rhino. If you’ll excuse the expression.”
Dr. Adam picked up his silver briefcase. “Is there anything else I should know before I go in?”
The second man reached for his keys. “I don’t think so Dr. You know his history. Are you ready for this?”
The Dr. pushed up his thin frame glasses. “No, but do we have a choice?” Dr. Adam slowly pushed open the door and stepped into his world.

This is a strange story based on a idea that came from a writters project in a boook I have. "Write a story about someone pertending to be something or someone he's not."

Great start! I have all kinds of images in my head as I read this..... its really creepy, and really pulls me in. I am going now to look at part 2!
