The Brock University Years:
W. Peter Sanci May 7 / 2006
When I was 17 or 18 I left home and went to Brock University for three years. I met some really good friends there a couple of
Them I’m still in contact with ! As a matter of fact I’m having lunch with my buddy Allan on Thursday downtown. It will be
great to see him again !
In my first year it was more fun than work.
Just getting to learn how to live on your own for the first time in you’re life was
hard enough. Learning how to budget you’re money for one thing ( Which I never did learn ha, ha, ha.. ) Much to my disgrace!
But we did have a lot of fun, probably too
much..
By our third year Allan and I had become such good friends we decided to rent an
apartment together off campus. Well we
found this nice basement apartment not
too far from the school. We had a good
time that last year together.
The only sad thing that happened my
Poor mom got sick and died of cancer !
But that’s another story.
Just know that University was a lot of
fun. And if I worked harder I would have
done much better I know that now. But they
were the best years of my life.
Author notes
I wrote this for a journal I was putting together. I actually went to Brock University in St. Catherines Ont. and I am still best of friends with my old buddy Al.
