It was a freezing February day close to Valentines day when it happened.
My aunt had been pregnant for a while and there had been some complications, but according to the doctors and professionals baby Mia, due on march fifth, was going to be happy and healthy. It seemed so simple now... Just have the baby. There had been other recent additions to our family, my aunt adopted a baby and named it Kia, and my other aunt had a baby named her Sophia. Mia seemed in the clear... but she wasn't. Mia was born on February tenth. Twenty three days premature. That was not the only problem, Mia did not breath and did not eat. She was placed in "Intensive care" due to her inability to do those things on her own. Our family weeped but we did not give up. We would spend whole days in hospital waiting rooms just to catch a fleeting glance of her. She was a symbol to us that we were a close and supportive family. She helped us realize the importance of our family and that it spreads and touches every little thing in the world... but cradle's the most important to us. Mia was a gift, she is here for us as we where there for her. She changed my world and touched to souls of many others. She was put on this earth for a reason, and even if that reason is very short, which I pray to god every night isn't, DAMIT! SHE WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!
