In Red Rivers cemetary lives a restless apparition, it's said that every full moon, a skeleton with a vintage dress and long black streaming hair glides throughout the graveyard. Some say that they have talked to her, although she never answered back. She would continue on to the cemeteries entrance, when she got there, she would vanish. Who is this restless soul, and what is her story?
One night a man in his late fifties awakes from a horrific nightmare drenched in sweat, he sits up and closes his eyes once again, then opens them back up as sweat pours down his brow. To his surprise a ghost of a woman is at the end of his bed, actually it's more like a skeleton, becuse it lacks flesh. "What manner of creature are you" he asks. He's fully paralyzed; hopefully his heart doesn't give out from the fright of this creatures presence. Staring with large frightened eyes, he musters up enough strength to say" Go away, leave me be spirit", then closes his eyes believing that she would vanish, but when he reopens them she is right beside him. Her jaw drops open letting out a moan, he can smell her stale breath on his face, a screechy voice echoes out of the empty throat, "I have been looking for you John Morgan, you murdered me so many years ago, now it's my turn to return the favor". "Who are you, I don't know what you are talking about" he exclaims dripping with sweat, "Think John, think hard, about thirty years ago at the Watergate Hotel" she says. He thinks hard this time.
suddenly he remembers, "Marian, is that you Marian, but your dead, you died so many years ago" he answers, "It was you who killed me John" she exclaims, "If I remember correctly you deserved to die, you were a tramp, cheating on me with my best friend" he answers back. "Yes, but that is not important, I do not have time to rminisce about the past, I have come to deliver a message. By twelve thirty tomorrow you will drop dead" she says cackling madly vanishing into the deafening darkness of the beyond.
He could not sleep for the remainder of the night; thinking about what the ghost had said will come true by tomorrow.
Suddenly, he speculates a plan to alter his fate, in the morning he'll get his name changed, that should break the curse, he hopes that it will work, or good bye Johnny.
Nine O' clock in the morning, he goes and gets his name changed to David James Yeager. Shortly thereafter he goes and visits a few friends, he tells them everything the ghost said, they tell him there is nothing to worry about, and that it was just a crazy hallucination. But by twelve-thirty, just like the ghost predicted he suffers a fatal heart attack. He was rushed to the hospital, but by the time the ambulance arrived, it was too late, he was already dead. He was buried a few days later, no one attended his funeral, not even his friends or grandchildren, as for the ghost, she vanished, never to walk this earth again. The only thing found on him, was a confession to the murder that he committed over thirty years ago, the disappearance of Marian Pallore was at long last put to rest.
