Caroline screamed as we both fell into the hole. Men with pumpkins as their heads walked by us. My eyes were glued to the wall searching frantically for an exit.
“Help!!” cried Caroline as she grasped me by the arm. Suddenly I was tapped on the shoulder, I turned quickly just in time to see a pumpkin citizen running away and laughing at the same time. I rolled my eyes. Then I saw everyone moving to the side, and when I looked to see why, a man grabbed me by the arm and pulled me away! A human!
“The royalties of Pumpsville,” he whispered hoarsely into my ear.
“Oh! How do we get back home?” I asked. He pointed to our left.
“See that door over there? That’s how. But you need a password for it and I don’t know what it is,” he replied.
“Oh, great! So you mean we’re gonna be stuck here forever?” I asked.
“If you don’t know the password, then yeah. You’ll just have to get used to their culture. That’s all,” he said, “I’ve been here for three weeks. I’m already used to it.”
“That’s all!?!” I cried. I decided to ignore him after that. I pulled Caroline to the door and said, “Pumpsville!” And to my surprise, the massive guard moved away. I danced through the door with glee. I had guessed the password! We walked into our house and our mom was there reading her book.
“You girls left about two minutes ago. Why did you come back so soon?” Mom asked. Caroline and I exchanged glances. That could be our secret hideout, and no time would pass!
THE END!!!
