"I know she'll come," said a dark figure as it watched the cougar pace worriedly. "She always does."1
"Yeah, and she's beaten the hell out of our men every time! Or are you so over-confident that you couldn't remember that, Captain?" Cougra snarled.2
A slight expression of irritation flashed over the captain's face, but he quickly smoothed it into calm indifference.3
"You forget your place, Cougra. Be sure you hold your tongue next time. Otherwise... you'll have to do without one for a while." -He smiled at the look of horror in his comrade's eyes.- "Let our men be beaten into the dirt. They could use the extra challenge. And besides, Misty can't elude us forever. We'll get her. All you have to do is just follow my orders. I'll do the thinking."4
He waved a dismissive hand. "You may go,"5
Cougra glared unhappily, but bowed and turned to leave. "As you wish, Captain."6

Ok so a quick change in scene.
My only issue with this bit is the first lines of the fourth paragraph. It's a bit used.
Otherwise, the fact that you keep things short and quick is nice because it keeps things interesting, and makes it harder for the mind to wander.
